The opinions expressed in this publication are those of the authors. In my opinion, after this experience I would NEVER purchase another Cyberpower PC product in my life. In my opinion, it was a complete disaster and for $4,557.31 they didn't care and even try to offer a solution to the problem. Cyberpower PC just told me I was outside of their 1 year warranty and... there was NOTHING they could do.A 3rd party repair technician I hired said that they used cheap liquid coolers that caused the CPU to OVERHEAT and that cheap cooler ruined the CPU (caused it to overheat) and in turn it also fried the Motherboard. This ended up costing me approximately $1,500 in new PC parts and labor and months of down time. In my opinion, it was a complete and total disaster and I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

I purchased a higher end system and it failed within a month. Now they expect me to pay for shipping. Terrible customer service as they ignored my emails for over a month. This company is a nightmare and borders on being scammers.

This is just a video of you inadvertently admitting you know Jack about hardware, overpaid for, and don't monitor the health of, your PC. Any amateur PC enthusiast would know at-a-glance that a 120mm rad is not nearly enough for that CPU.

A blown CPU does not mean Cyberpower makes bad PC's... And if the CPU was overheating so badly that it melted the board, you would have had some temp alarms going off. Or maybe ASUS made a bad motherboard that fried your CPU. Or maybe you had it OC'd a little too high and it surpassed its thermal limits for too long.

Several years back, around something like May(?) of 2019, I purchased a cyberpower pc. I think it used fan cooling, but what happened, is it started slowly decaying. First, it started bluescreening. Why, I do not know. But it was doing that. How did I know? It was because I would go over to my computer, and see that the BIOS failed to boot. Or the uptime would be suspiciously low. I also knew it was related to sleep mode because at one point I went out of sleep mode, logged in, and when I moved to open something, bluescreen in my face. The idle memory usage also seemed to slowly creep upwards as I used the PC. And on one fateful day, in April 2020, I was opening Scrap Mechanic survival mode. The hard drive was whirring as it installed, and then... It let out a light screech sound as it stopped whirring. The game wouldn't load. Once the hard drive started back up again, I opened task manager. I waited for it to stop once more, and then clicked over to it. Went to the performance tab... Read speed read out "0 bytes/sec". April turned to May, and it got worse and worse. May 31, I told a streamer that my computer was dying. At night that same day, I was watching the Spiffing Brit play skyrim on a TV near the computer. I heard it enter a boot loop. I even looked over a few times and the light level was different each time, occasionally tinted blue. Best Buy was closed due to mcCovidface, and the repair shop that was open only replaced the HDD with crappy drives. My computer essentially died.

Dude I’ve got you beat. My 3500 rig was shit from day one and unused all custom, high quality parts. Then my buddy ordered his at almost 5k and his too is shit. Do not order from this company. I rationalized that it was better than paying a scammer. No! Whatever they do at that company, they don’t take pride in it. My friends rig had a giant gash in the side of the case.

I bought a Cyberpower PC, it broke with blue screen crashes non-stop after 4 months. I sent it to them for a fix and when returning they sent it to a random address that when i checked had no houses around, just a road. I called them to figure it out and they asked me for 8 days to solve it. after 10 days I called them to ask about it, and now they keep sending me over loops on the phone, none of their customer support is the right person to talk about this. I still have a 1 year warranty but I still patiently wanted to get the original PC back. After so much frustration NO PC FEVER, i'm wondering what can I do because it seems like Cyberpower is making fool of me, I dont want to disrespect the customer support people because i know its not their fault and my wife used to be a customer support somewhere else as well so I sympathize. But the way its going I will end up without a computer and loss of my money. Im wondering if there is another alternative to deal with this, like report to the Federal Trade commission or Customer fair IDK Im lost and i never dealt with this. anyone ?

Thanks for confirming my distrust of liquid cooling. At this point, if I want a computer with a new gen CPU and GPU, it's pretty much only the custom prebuilt companies like CyperPower or IBuyPower that seem to be able to get them even semi-reliably. My current plan is spec the system with most of the parts I want, One nice thing with Cyberpower is doing ones own upgrades doesn't void the warranty as long as the upgrade isn't the cause. I figure I can spec a cheap air cooler and move that and the included fans to my current system (which needs new ones) and then a good air cooler and fans to put in the new system (Arctic). Since the fans on the cooler and the case fans will be the same, if one on the cooler goes out (unlikely) I can just swap in one of the case fans while ordering a replacement.

Liquid cooling was not the issue. A cheap, inadequate AIO was the problem. A quality AIO will out perform the highest quality air cooler. There may be other considerations between the two and within certain limits air coolers are just as effective, but only if you spend the money and buy a quality cooler. Two things not to skimp on in a PC, your power supply and your CPU cooler. However, with many prebuilts, even system integrator prebuilts, they often skimp on the quality of the parts. That AIO they used was indeed crap. Not a good candidate to use to compare with a top of the line air cooler and then conclude that liquid cooling is suspect.
@CrimFerret

@@dennissmith1435 I agree, but it won't out perform a non-overclocked system by enough that it will matter for long term system life. I stand by air cooling as completely viable if you get one designed for the heat load you're cooling.

I like my cyberpower granted it’s brand new. I think I’ll replace the liquid cooling evtualky. Mine looks a lot better than yours tho. And it says cooler master so not sure if they started using different ones. Definitely replacing before the warranty is up. Thanks for the vid and heads up
