As someone who has put in countless hours into Civ 6, your video made me realize how beautiful the game actually is. Will definitely be trying out my next run with the yields off and using the shortcuts

Interesting perspective. I llay competitive multiplayer so there is a looming turn timer and we're trying to maximize efficiency as much as possible, so keeping yields and resources on is a must. In fact, I also use [ and ] to cycle between cities, and , and . to cycle between units, and use "a" to attack, "f" to fortify, "r" for ranged. I also have the action animation turned off. While I enjoy the competitive scene, your comments on yields and resources reminded me how beautiful the game is, something I often forget about

another great video most youtubers always have the yield icons on and really takes away the beauty from the maps i personally use the hot keys so the map looks better to look at and use the hot keys when i need more info

Yep, the yields are super useful but really noisy. I'm glad it's so easy to toggle them on and off.

I'd suggest adding time stamps and if you use the detailed map tacks mod, I like s - place map tack, del - deletes it and shift+s - hides map tacks

Yeah, those shortcuts for detailed map tacks are great, although I might have slightly different bindings set up (Shift-A -> add, Shift-D -> delete).
