Has anyone had issues with their 2018 or 2019 velar ? I am tying to decide if I should buy a used 2018 but most of the reviews for this model in the U.S.A have horrible comments about the reliability of the car, that range from air suspension to infotainment screen flickering or just blacked out ?

It's unforgivable that a premium brand doesn't provide rapid electronics in their cars, especially when that is the only way to modify settings. Anything that distracts the driver is a major fail. RR is not the only one.

I’ absolutely love my Velar . I’ve enjoyed 12,000 Miles so far and I’m excited to get into it each and every time but I must admit that the turn signal noise is just too loud. Also yessss please give us apple car play !!! Otherwise honestly the most amazing car I’ve ever owned ! Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences!

turn signal is loud but then again i've been knwon to drive extended distances with mine on so i actually like being able to hear it that's just me tho

yeah the signal noise is loud... first thing that strucked me when I tried the Velar...it's like 80's loud...

to update the system, change dealer or send them a recommended letter saying that in case of any technical fault of the car they would be responsible as they did not update to the latest version :-)

Just put the phone in the cubbyhole with the usb. There is zero reason you need to see your phone when you are driving. As for the update just say you have a fault... dealers in the UK are really bad if they are charging you for this update. Was done for free in Canada, they just told me to complain I had a fault and boom 3 hours later it was updated.

There is a place in the square cup holder to keep phones

Nit picking if you ask me. Get Apple carplay to cure most of these problems. BTW the car looks great.

my upgrade to CarPlay etc cost me nothing (UK). My dealer didn't even question it.

I have not had any problems w my infotainment system and have had mine for almost a year I bought mine brand spanking new and it is parked in my A/C garage

T he Apple car play software is available to update certain models, yours should be available, either go to another dealer, or complain the system is slow or radio channels keep dropping and tuning to another channel at random intervals.

Why did I you put a sport badge on a velar?

MY 2021 Velar has a serious problem with the back-up lighting - you can't see anything because the lighting is terrible - is the brightness adjustable? It is stupid that I even need to worry about this....

Find a velar that was totaled and buy the info with apple car play etc if its not damaged and instal ... I'm glad my velar has apple car play and I use one of the cup holders to plug in a cell holder you can get it with long or short neck ... I like my R Dynamic P380 byron blue black top velar, And would love to move up to the sport .. 5 thing wrong ...

Just got rid of my Velar that had endless issues -- software was a nightmare. Both screens would go black and default to heat (I live in Southern California), had to have 3 updates. Door Pillar on drivers side was misaligned, caused it to sound like the window was cracked open. Water pump went at 4k Miles, Fuel pump went at 9k and left me stranded on the highway. Door seals had to be replaced. Pano Sunroof rattled, specifically the sun shade. Was in the shop 10+ times in the 17 months I owned it. Ended up swapping it and going back to Mercedes. And that turn signal sound is bizarre -- thought the exact same thing. Super odd considering I had loaners nonstop and no other LR product had such noisy signals.

Complain about the Navigation issues and get the software upgraded :P

I got my software updated on my Velar with Apple Car play it can be done. Mine was done successfully last month £200. It’s perfect

I'm from Florida we don't use signals

On the phone one. I have it mounted on the right side next to the pilar. Less intrusive and you can operate it with the right hand.

Car with this price still gives driver nightmare. I love RangeRover, but I bought Lexus instead to save myself some headaches though I don't like Lexus.

You have the base model and the oldest Velar. In America we are taught to always buy a car in its second or third year of production. The first year versions are always the worst with glitches and problems. I have none of the issues you have but I also have a new HSE Dynamic.
