I just got mine 3 weeks ago, and I love it to death. My 07 had 12.5k miles on it with brand new tires. Thing is a wheelie machine and beyond fun to ride, and the motor is damn bullet proof like you said! 🤣

Bro I know the feeling my 02 FZ1 was a POS and it was my first bike but like you said look at it now! Jet kits, chain and sprockets, racing clutch, SC exhaust… I sent a picture to the guy I bought it from and he couldn’t believe it.. He probably thought I was gonna toss it cause of how bad it was LMFAOOO.. Big ups homie 💯💪🏽

That Bike should last 100k miles but needs to be well taken care of. Every time I buy a used Bike.. it goes to my Mechanics Shop.. I have him take it down to the nuts bolts.. n replace all the bad sh$$t, you never know the use or abuse it took before buying it.

buying a used bike as a beginner was kind of a bad decision... Honda CB500F PC45, like 13k miles, but in a garage for the last two years. not perfect, but okay for 3k in europe. But as a beginner, you don't really notice if there's something wrong with the bike. I don't know what happened to this bike, but it wants to turn right so badly when I take my hands off the bar (which I didn't do as a beginner so I didn't notice before) and my new chain is screaming at me for no reason. The bike runs. perfectly so (It's a Honda after all), but it has problems it's not supposed to have.

March '19 ?, No bike Kawasaki for 27 years, turned down a 07 CBR600RR, sight unseen. I opted for a '05 Bandit 650 inj, sight unseen, got to shop ?, Bandit outside, Lovely, Big back tyre, low low seat, clip on bars, Big big Fekkin engine, front tyre fatter than any 80's back tyre. Nice, in the shop, saw CBR, can I have this ??, Just sold, Bummer !!!, Dancer ??, Got 20, 21 months of Blessed Bandit Time Times, got a PhD Masters Degree in Bandit Torque Enjoyment only, nothing technical. 58, 59 times more biking joy, than in 84 my nearly new Kawa.750 turbo, that I Couriered on, Thrashed it Daily, nice. But Bandit Time Acceleration Wow ?, Like being in Control of an Angry, Crazy Mad Wasp ?, Thought it was a Firefly. Acceleration ?, Felt like an industrial catapult fired it off, totally upright PROPELLED forward, arms limp body slouched ?, All at the back wheel. Best bike ever, and I'm not even lying. Yours truly Scott Loch. Na, Professor Bandit B.T.E. Torque Enjoyment only, out.

Your situation sounds pretty similar to my sv650s, paid around £1k for it and happy i did cause the issues this bike has so far is a crappy rear brake, doesn't go into neutral and god forbid i stall it it takes forever to wake up again, i love it nonetheless tho 😂

buying new is the worst financial mistake you can make. Ive never paid more than 3k for a bike and i got 4 great bikes. if you can turn a wrench id advise buying used or at the very least a second hand newer model. you will save a lot of money this way. imo only buy new if you got cash burning a hole in your pocket.

Bro if you got 5k in that bike the most your gonna get for that $ new is a grom. If minor issues are the worst you have to deal with I would say you came out pretty good. One blowout is gonna make you wish you ate the $300 for the tire in a fuckin hurry.

@@benle9397 It's only a simple question: Do you understand the concept of danger? There you have it. It's like an IQ test for ex. You gotta ask yourself if you're a first time rider if I start to speed and push my limits to an extreme in bad conditions or areas such as bad metropolitan areas/raining, or don't have a basic understanding of target fixation, how a motorcycle gets traction, loses traction, watching out for cars making lefts (US leading cause of death for motorcyclists), predicting other drivers/traffic situations, being wary of certain intersections, then you're better off on a small bike that doesn't punish you for big mistakes in any of these situations. If these situations are even remotely oblivious to you and/or don't cause a tingly sensation on the hairs behind your back then chances are a small bike to start on would be solid

I stared on a ninja 400. I know several guys who started on 600s. Some crashed before making the first payment, others have had better luck. It’s doable but you must have lots of self control and wrist control. These vehicles are capable of very high speeds very quickly. In my opinion, if you are going to use the bike to blast around corners and you know you’re going to want to go fast, then start on the 400, get your fundamentals down. Get a feel for leaning the bike, the wind against your body. Practice practice practice, and your experience on the 600 will be much more enjoyable. I now have a 1000, but I still have the 400. Let me tell you, the 400 is still a blast to ride. One very important thing to remember, do not give into peer pressure and the urge to want to keep up with faster riders. Ride your own ride. The best ride is the one you come home to your family from.
