@@robinpedersen1191first of all, who said he wasn’t in the building? He was late meaning he didn’t make it to the 97th floor, he could have been in the building. Also many people died outside from falling debris when the planes hit and again when the towers collapsed. If you were anywhere near the towers that day, and made it out with your life, they are a survivor. Were you even born yet on 9/11? Did you watch the live coverage, do you live in NYC, NJ, or Connecticut? If you can’t answer yes to all three, your input is irrelevant

I've been revisiting 9/11 footage this week. I was having a back surgery when this all happened. To this day nothing is creepier to me then falling paper and knowing al the lives lost in those moments. Just the fact you escaped without even a scratch and calmly made all the right choices I cannot imagine how that day replays at times in your mind. I am so happy that you lived to tell your story and your family didn't have to suffer that loss.

Thank you for sharing your story, I feel too many people are forgetting these days. My sister worked in the WTC consulting for Cantor Fitzgerald. She was suppose to go on a flight that day traveling for work. There was an issue with her plane ticket and she ended up staying home. My other sister worked at the Pentagon, again she happened to not be there that day. It’s strange how little events changed the outcome for some people. I am so glad you got out and your family did not lose you. May God be with all those who were lost that day and also with those who are left to remember.

@@michaeldelano9233 of those there already (traders came in at seven; the tech guys came in more like nine) of the 600+ they are already at CF who died there remained 4 who survived. Three of them were burnt at varying degrees. Only one came out physically unscathed and he helped one of the burn victims down. Ari, I forget his last name. I just saw his story again the other day. I slept most of 911 this year due to a cold but a tiny part of me was relieved, and a tiny part of me felt very guilty for sleeping through the remembrances and stuff even though I have them saved on here to watch. KZfaq has definitely made up for that in the days since. Without looking for it, I’ve seen a number of these stories some of them like an hour long and I just can’t take my eyes away. You can’t quite duplicate the stunned feeling of that day and yet when you see footage it takes you right back. #neverforget

Your account of the events on September 11th, especially your experience evacuating the 91st floor of the South Tower just before the second plane struck, is incredibly gripping and vividly narrated. Reading it, I could truly sense the overwhelming fear and shock that you, along with countless others, must have endured that fateful day. As you described going back to your cubicle to retrieve your belongings, I found myself practically shouting at the screen, 'Don't go back, just get out of there as quickly as possible, please!' 😨🙏

I couldn't agree with you more 👍. In an emergency you have to use your own initiative. Unfortunately some people freeze in terror and others are in denial of what is happening as it's too much to take in. Great comment 💕

You're right, some people who were below the impact and rang their families saying they were fine, stayed at their desks and didn't get out in time.
@kylieminou77759 ай бұрын
I agree with you. But the instructions in the case of an emergency, that was seen as a fire, not a plane crashing into the building, was to stay put and wait for instructions, many people didn't have any idea what was happening and thought it was best to wait, nobody was expecting the buildings to collapse, sadly that was exactly what happened and the ones who made were those who decided to get out
@_Just_Another_Guy9 ай бұрын
In these kinds of situations, it's always a good idea to assume the worst possible scenario so you can have a motivation to save yourself. If the situation turns out to not be dangerous, then the worse that you could get would be people laughing at you. But if the worst actually happens, then a lot of those people who would be laughing at you would either not be there anymore or be too stunned at the situation.

@The-Great-Brindian Obviously. I'm speaking from my own life experiences of being an American, and having always lived here in the US. I was born in 1960 and at the time living in the Pueblo projects in East Los Angeles during the Watts Riots, military tanks rolled thru our neighborhood. I didn't understand or could comprehend what was going on as a young child. However, I did witness a man being shot in cold blood while he and many others were looting the corner market. Horrific!! I will never forget that image as a young girl. 😥My point is that we as a country have never experienced terrorism of this magnitude on our own soil. Many tragedies transpire across the globe 🌎 Needless atrocities. And it is sickening!! It has just never been so close to home for me personally.

@rachmunshine947410 ай бұрын
And those who made the announcement sadly were really trying to prevent people trampling each other, and more people getting hurt from falling debris or falling people I hate to say and they thought that it would be enough to have one tower evacuating quickly with limited routes of evacuation where they had overhangs, and they could be a little safer from falling things/ppl. Certainly is much more hectic as it was with two buildings that big with that many people all exiting at once especially in a hurry they were just trying to keep the others safe and to make more room for the ones coming out and avoid trampling each other. They probably would have told them to evacuate after the first building was largely evacuated had they had time and obviously if they knew it was going to be hit also, they would never have said that. So tragic bc so many did listen.
@reddykanta733710 ай бұрын
@@rachmunshine9474 Yes you are right and it’s also important to go with your gut instinct and assess the situation yourself before taking a decision. So many ppl were torn between staying or leaving because it never crossed their mind that it was a terrorist attack. Most of them thought it was a small airplane that crashed into the North Tower by mistake or that maybe a gas pipe had exploded and it would soon be under control.
