My dad lived to be 102. Seven months after his 100th birthday he took a phone call from a salesman selling life insurance over the phone. Once the salesman started into his pitch my dad interrupted him and told the man that he had just turned one hundred and a half. The flabbergasted salesman exclaimed, "you mean you are a hundred and fifty years old???" They both had a good laugh about it and though he knew he couldn't sell a hundred year old man a life insurance policy they had a pleasant chat for about a half hour. True story.

I'm having two 6's birthday this new year. Will stop working .....don't know when, like my dad at 82, maybe 90? I LOVE what I do. I avoid all contacts with my peers, becuse it's like walking in a hospital discussion group, HOW many pills do you take? Absolutelu NONE and goodbye. Walk fast, talk young, play music. Eat healthy, have 10lbs less than 45 years ago and on the beach I can pass for a little over 50, no big muscles, just toned body. Working on my head as well, smiling most of the time at everything. Getting old sane and healthy takes work, but it's worth it. Life at 66 is GREAT. 100,, see you in 34 years.

We had something similar with my grandpa. His brain worked fine, but decades before he and my grandma decided that their birthdays were fun to celebrate, but other than that just a ticking clock. When he was 95 he drove, went shopping, went to senior gatherings and exercised every day. But he had no idea how old he was. He died 8 days after his 100th birthday.
