I've made the transition from decorative to functional planning and i have a hoard of stickers so, I get it. What I did was remind myself that I have other designated spaces to decorate-- journals and notebooks-- that I can use the stickers in--as many and as often--as I'd like, and that I need my planner to be a space where I go to get things done, undistracted. I've learned that if I allow myself to decorate a spread (even a little), it will become my focus--over the plans. I will not want to write a reminder down because I don't have a matching pen or highlighter & then stuff gets forgotten. Or, worse, if the spread turned out ugly, I'll be frustrated & won't even want to look at that page & end up not referencing the planner that week. Now, I pick pretty colors to highlight headings for the week and that's about it.

Why did you choose A6? Using a a5 right now moving into a b6. I keep seeing a6. I feel like I might want that but I don’t know if that will be too small.

About numbering pages, have you looked into the Sterling Ink notebooks? They are a little bit more expensive.
