Imagine going to your school and exploring all the little hidden areas that you've never seen, the teachers lounge and teacher's bathroom. It would be amazing. It would be kind of sad to see all the rooms falling apart because that's where memories were created.

As much as I hate school, I would break down in tears if I saw my school abandoned, ruined and empty. All my memories. All the flashbacks. All the images of me and my friends. I now understand what people mean by “I miss school, I wish I was your age to go to school”

It's a Great thing you took your yearbook with you, because the next time you come to revisit the school, there is no telling how the school would look in the future! In the making of this video, at least the school looked great while it was abandoned, but sadly we all know what happens in America to abandoned buildings. My high school was abandoned in 2005 the same year I graduated from it, I was the last graduating class

Seeing how enthusiastic he is and how clearly vivid his memories are with where he remembered every room gave me chills. This was very personal for him you can tell, it’s like walking back in time. It must be overwhelming for him, when he found his old yearbook, goosebumps man!

School isn't my favourite thing, but I would cry if I saw my primary school abandoned and forgotten about. All the memories I made with my friends, all the friendships, all the fights, everything.

It's weird that they wouldn't take the desks and chairs to the new school, and you know...save money.

I can't even comprehend how that must feel. The schools I went to are all still in use and they even finished expanding the second elementary school with a second floor after I left for middle school. To go back and find either elementary school I went to or my middle or high schools closed down and completely abandoned, I think that would upset me more than anything else it would make me feel.

I have fond memories of each of the schools I've been through, each for better or worse. Unfortunately, my old Elementary school was closed down (but luckily, not abandoned). I'd relish the opportunity to walk through and say hello to any of the teachers who've been there while I was growing up. Many of them don't use social media, but I hope they're all living wonderful lives, and if not, I hope those who are no longer here with us were able to live peacefully, knowing how many lives they've changed. Man, how simple, lucky, and wonderful of a childhood...

Man you are just like me! I’m a 24 year old woman and I LOVE memories like you. And 6th grade to 8th grade were the best times of my life. I met my soulmate at that time too (even tho we are not together now). But i freaking LOVE to explore old places that I used to be at. My middle school is still there and it’s still used. But I did drive by there during school hours and take pictures of the outside. I LOVE how excited you are to be there and explore old memories. I’m the same way man. The same way. I’m glad you got to go there. ❤️

I understand how you feel about your awesome school and I actually like your school building! It looks so peaceful and amazing! My school in Vancouver BC Canada where I live was built back in 1910 and in 1912 General Wolfe School had its first few students! And now it's booming with lots of students..I went to General Wolfe School in 1971 and graduated in 1979 our elementary school (as we Canada calls it was from kindergarten to grade 7.. and high school is from Grades 8 to 12) 🙂🙂 And just a year or two ago my school had to shut down for a few months or year to upgrade for systemic upgrade (Earthquake upgrade and asbestos and led upgrade) for safety reasons 🙂🙂 even my brother went to the same school ..I went to High school and he was in my school (elementary school) so I understand how you feel about awesome memories even I had awesome memories too of my school and my favorite teacher etc 🙂🙂👍👍

Honestly, if i just saw my school, like this I would break down in tears, oddly enough, the college where I go to has some sort of "agreement" with the building where I went to elementary school (still active btw) so they can host some of the careers and majors there due to a lack of space on the main building, it just so happens that there is where I'm going to go from now on, it's somewhat cathartic, somewhat sad, kinda like a reward that at the same time feels like a punishment for staying mostly the same, and being loyal to myself, anyway, feels strange going back there after 12/13 years, the universe is confusing really.

I did the same thing once and when i was in 5th grade i had a classroom which i had the most fun in, i came with a friend and we walked inside. It hit me like a truck, nostalgia of running around carelessly playing tag hurt. i went to my old classroom and i found my lost old bag with all the books inside. i sat down for a moment and legitimately shattered into tears. as i pretended for a bit i cried, alot. i miss those times.

I’d love to explore that school. I would have so much fun looking around. Old abandoned buildings just appeal to me. I think it’s wonderful that they didn’t demolish that building.

I always think about the last people who touched those desks, doors, wrote on the boards. The last people to walk on through those halls and touched those walls. The last people who wrote with those pens and sat down to eat lunch with their friends. All the history that went on in that place but now its just mystery. What happened on the last day and why did they leave all their science displays. Why didn't they take their stuff does any one else care enough. Doesn't anyone else want to know what happened long ago?

My junior high is still in use but, as a grade school. Even my old high school is still being used today. When I was a freshman in high school just before Christmas break a senior burned the oldest part of the school up. Almost the entire 2nd floor in the old part was gone. It was back in December 1984. When I was my high school the following day that I broke down in tears. Even us students were bused to another school a half hour away in a smaller high school. It was split that the juniors and seniors in the mornings. Freshmen and sophomores in late mornings to late afternoons. I remembered getting home at 6pm. I even had P.E. at my old school and even looked outside to see the fire damage. It took 2 and a half years to get back to the high school. It was still under construction during the school year. That was my senior year. I was even hanging out with my good friend that year after school. He was a junior that school year. We became close to each other as really good friends. He was very shy and quiet guy. I’m more outgoing person. We even went to prom together. I loved to go back and see my high school again since I was in it for 1 school.

I learned not too long ago that going to explore places attached to your childhood hits the hardest

Disappointed they didn't even touch the piano to see if it still works. It always saddens me a bit to see abandoned pianos in good condition just rotting away.

my primary school WAS probably the smallest in my area with only having one building which wasn't even that big, only had 30 students per class in the whole school, when I go past it now, I barely recognise it, it really makes me feel old

My school is quite similar. They unfortunately tore down the old schools and we're currently in the new schools, but the middle school had 2 gyms (one of them is still used because it was newer) I remember the shop class was huge and there were cobwebs all over. The water fountains were also starting to rust and mold. Kinda already felt abandoned. I never went to the old high school, but I heard rumors. There was creepy basement where a bunch of the math classes were, and it was an even older building so it looked abandoned itself. Both the schools were pretty big and falling apart, now both of the schools are connected and look way better, but I still miss the old ones. Wish I could've explored them. The current schools are really big, about the same size as this school, it not more.

I can’t imagine my elementary, middle, or high school being abandoned! Especially my high school. My grandparents went there, my parents went there. My great uncle has his name on the front of the school because he was a legend there. My family has so much history at my high school. I hope it’s never completely discarded like this!

They most sad thing to me is the the building it self (at least the front/original part) is still very beautiful and grand. You gotta respect how nice and grand older school buildings are. I wish new school buildings still looked like this.

I would love to explore my first Daycare Center. It's recently been abandoned, cause the city decided to combine the other existing daycare centers into bigger facilities. It's kinda sad, because those buildings had charm, character and full of warm memories. Personally I hate the modern style of architecture. My home town is filled with ugly cement monstrosities while the old historic buildings are either torn down or just left to rot.
