My adventures with superman is a brand new HBO show with only 3 episodes but PLENTY of out of context content. .
Depending on the feedback, I definitely intend to keep making more videos on this series.
My Adventures with Superman is an American animated superhero television series based on the DC Comics character Superman. The series is developed by Jake Wyatt, and produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment.

It's funny that since the Smallville series and even in the super great Superman and Lois series, Lois always referred to herself as a "Tomboy" being an army brat, but yet we never saw that Tomboy persona till now. And frankly, they just did so freaking good with it.

Sure, she has a mouth, an attitude problem, and a temper, but now here we see the balance of her actual Tomboy self and her feminine self quite well. This I saw in comparison when seeing Wonder Woman and Lois together, because people could say that since WW is a Warrior, she could be Tomboy too, but she is an Amazon, overly feminine Amazon by history standards, and when Lois is with Diana, Lois is no different, aside shorter. Now we have a proper Tomboy Lois and it's awesome.

@@EternalRomanI think a lot of that has to do with business culture and professionalism. Even in the 90's and 00's, it was expected for even the most tomboy woman to wear a skirt suit in an office, and ESPECIALLY if she was going to be on TV at all.

@@fangsabre Maybe, but even back then Tomboys were seen with Paigeboy hair cuts, were sporty (mostly) acted like one of the guys even when straight. There's a reason the term "Tomboy" exists, because it distinctively describes not only the looks of a female that is one, but her behavior, and that is the contradiction of Lois that I see in her past depictions and claims of being a Tomboy. Now, I can attribute it to Western comic book artists and animators not really knowing how to portray an actual Tomboy, but Japan literally has a long history of Anime and Manga with such characters. And this show, clearly having an Anime influence and to me at least seems like the team that worked in the Avatar cartoon series and Voltron Legendary Defender, definitely are known to make Tomboy characters and very well done.

Ngl I really, really, really hope this show not only gets more seasons, but keeps being expanded upon into a whole world. This version of the DC universe is so pure and unique and well done, it's probably the most original take on it since the old "The Batman" cartoons. The way they get to the core of the characters, whether deconstructed or played completely straight, never ceases to amaze me and it all just feels so genuine and well thought out and like there's a point to it all. It knows exactly what Superman is and is about, without feeling beholden to repeating all of the same old tropes or being afraid of doing things different. It may seem super divergent on the surface, but underneath it's so inherently, unapologetically, classically Superman in a way that so many other projects aren't. It just gets it. It's fun, it's got adventure and action, but it also makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside in a way I haven't felt since some of the best slice of life Teen Titans or JLU episodes back in the 2000s. And it's certainly the first piece of non-comic Superman media I've seen in a while that has genuinely convinced me that Lois Lane and Clark Kent are literally made for each other. This is DC at its best imo, I pray it continues.

The idea is that every crazy idea he has exists in DC universe. He mentions giant gorilla society at one point, referencing gorilla grod's city. Most of the first episode he was stating how aliens walk among them and everything as well. (Superman)

Mothman is more likely a reference to Killer Moth, who's usually a joke villain. Sewer dinosaur is most likely a Killer Croc reference, but there could be a lot more options in comics.

A bit off topic, and likely to never happen, but I would love to see this Superman meet the Batman of this world. Maybe this Bruce just acts like a bit of a typical stoner kid before basically snapping into being an ultra serious Batman. Like make Bruce and Batman so incredibly different that it becomes genuinely jarring.

Probably because of instability within WB/Discovery. Adult Swim might've been the only channel able to take it on. Any port in a storm, that sort of thing.
