You can wild card Buck O’Neil from season 1. He has about 90 plus speed as a first baseman. And if you had the Core Martin Dihigo you can use him at catcher.

I used my Wildcard on Niko Goodrum and he plays 1st Base in my Caroll Captain team 👍 just leaves catcher as the only position without 84+

What causes runners to get a late jump? I'll have a 99 speed/steal player that will get amazing jumps sometimes and other times will delay a second or 2 after I release the steal button. Infuriating.

It's completely random. You holding and releasing steal doesn't do anything. You just press it before the pitch and they will go. Just random if they get a good jump. Higher steal rating helps but they still get bad jumps sometimes.

@@ChayseGrizzell yea that's how it works. Must have been a time they stepped off and the runner jumps instead of going back. That happens sometimes but it's rare. But yea just pressing it once initiates the steal.
