Way to go! With that positive attitude you have, you'll be able to accomplish whatever you set your heart on. I'm glad the weather cooperated and you got to solo on your 16th! Some may disagree, but I think it is good that you were able to experience dealing with external pressures so early. They will inevitably come up at some point after your check ride so experiencing them early is probably a benefit. I'm kinda sad no one told you about EAA young eagles; we can't be turning away interested people like that 😔 Looks like a beautiful area to fly. Happy flying!

Hi, fellow student pilot here. I love your story. I've currently only flown high wing aircraft with most of my hours being on a teeny tiny Tecnam P92. I'm currently studying for my written exams so I have that out of the way and can start flying again. This video is a great reminder for me why I got into flying in the first place. I also started out properly when I was 8 years old, I had a thing for planes by then already, but at that age, I discovered FS2004 A Century Of Flight. And well, the rest is history. I hope to be able to fly solo before the end of the year aswell, if my wallet allows for it. I hope you're gonna come a long way as a pilot and happy flying from the Netherlands.
