This heli is going to change your life. The bigger (easier to see and more stable) 380mm rotor disk is going to make you instantly a better pilot. It is my hypothesis that 380 is really the sweet spot for learning on a budget. Yes, it is more expensive, but still quite reasonable. But you get so much more. Once you put a few batteries through it, get it dialed in, and get over new-bird-nerves I predict rapid progress. You're definitely gonna love it.

Yeah that was my line of thinking. Really fancied going for xl power 520/550 but it'd cost 4 times as much. No doubt this fly a lot nicer and will be smoother, way more powerful etc. There's time for bigger stuff. No rush. I'll get the xlp 550 sometime then eventually protos 800 i fancy eventully.

I love my 407Lm, it was my first propper 3d heli. I use it as a basher heli since parts are alot cheeper compared to my protos 380 evo haha

Oh nice. Thought about the protos too. How does it compare flight wise, speed agility build etc? I'll be looking at an XL power for my next one.

@@RCStuffvideos The protos 380 is a nice build, the normal protos 380 is much cheaper parts whise but still builds about the same. The v1 frame has an annoying servo layout (imo) and the v2 frame is much better. The tail holds really well at low headspeed (especially when compared to the 470L). As for the agility and speed it depends on your blade choice and cyclic speed/ cyclic ring angle. I use Azure Power 385mm blades and they can be agile but I’ve heard that the rotortech 380mm blades are a lot more agile.

I would definitely recommend the 74mm tail blades!! Large improvement on tail authority

@@TheBrianCloud heard that before so thought about it. I'll definitely consider it too cheers.

Nice heli, man. TN RC here. I got me the same one (470 LP), but as an unassembled kit. I assembled it recently, but I'm figuring out a good tx/rx/fc configuration.

Oh hey nice one. Yeah i want to do a full build too but my time is very limited as it is and saw a bargain. Mext heli after this probably an xl power 520/550 which eill be full build most likely. Let me know how it goes amd which set up you go for. If inwas buying a FBL mew I'd probably go for a brain 2. Seem decent, has panic recovery and fairly simple to set up i heard. Never tried myself yet though.

@@RCStuffvideos that was a great bargain, no doubt 👍 Well the FC I bought already, it's the Brain2, which yes, has rescue and seems tó be a really good FC. For Tx/RX I plan tó get FrSky with ACCESS protocol.

Oh so do I. Just need a bit of time and far better weather.

@@RCStuffvideos I hear that! It’s currently -15°c here in the US where I’m at. 🥶 Can’t wait to get out and fly again.

Haha. I know I haven't forgotten, Scott. Just been very busy with family and work things etc too. Hopefully soon. Loads of video ideas i want to do but little time with looking after the toddler etc as well as work. Don't worry it will come. It hasn't been abandoned. Happy flying!
