Surely you can find a local welder who can weld that brace back on for fairly cheap.

throw some good ol jb weld epoxy on that sucker and set it forget it

Those welds that broke are spot welds. They aren’t manually welded. Just a tool and pull the trigger. Spot welds aren’t awesome

On the front pedestal base. Cut the carpet about an inch overlap and get a new stainless base and mount on top of the carpet. Reglue the carpet back down first after removing old base.

I didn't notice that back lid on Tuesday. Hopefully, it won't be too hard to fix along with the front seat base. 🐺🎣 BFB FAMILY.

I have a 93 tx17 (3rd owner) with the same issue. Im debating weld vs rivet. One of my lids the brace is missing completely. All i see is an outline where it once was. Any idea if someone sells a replacement?
