In this video I share my best and worst purchases of 2023. These videos are fun to watch but also a great learning experience because it required me to look back at the year and assess what purchases worked and which ones did not. I determined my most and least worn clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and a little beauty/skincare.

Love the hair. I went crazy with wardrobe in 2023. 2024 is year to narrow my purchases. 😩 I did purchase a long fitted blazer that I am in love with. It’ll be great for 2024 for sure. 😎 Started using Tretinoin again. After only a few months my skin is getting so much better. Miracle drug!

Hi Maria, I can’t imagine there is anything that doesn’t look good on you. You have such exquisite taste. First, let me say the Bottega bag is beautiful. My bad purchases are too numerous to mention. lol I love the wide leg pants, but the pleated wide leg pants just make me look like a balloon. Goodwill got those. Ended up liking a puffer vest from Walmart for $27.00 more than a Michael Kors faux fur that I should have returned, but didn’t. ( I hate making returns). Let’s just say, I’m going to try and make wiser purchasing decisions in 2024. Lol❤ Joann

I'm trying to do a no buy this month too however I already blew it and bought some boots on sale that I've been wanting since October so I guess its not much of an impulse since I've been watching it a while. I guess it will be a "low" buy :) Good luck!!! I know it can be so hard to say no.

Hello Maria! My best purchases in 2023 were a black denim and a dark blue denim maxi coats, a white and a black maxi button down shirt dresses. My worst were velvet leggings from Spanx.

Your skin does look beautiful! I’m sad that you are not enjoying your vca necklace. I got the exact one for Christmas and I leave it on. I also leave my Cartier love bracelet on all of the time.

For SPF I personally love Eucerin Age Defense 50 SPF and DRMTLGY Universal Tinted SPF. They both moisturize the skin really well, don't pill or ball up on the skin and once they have a chance to soak in they wear beautifully and comfortably. Just to keep in mind - the DRMTLGY tinted moisturizer is not really intended for coverage or concealing, it just gives you a nice glow that doesn't look unnatural and I think would work with many skintones.

Hi Maria. My best purchases were de Beers ear cuff. I made diy project attached to idyl Apollo chain. Prada platform sneakers. Mugllier Grey classic pants. Prada loafers i didn’t buy them earlier, until I realized that I can buy from men department , cause women it’s too small, but they bulky and every time I think of wearing them, my husband days Prada sneakers are better 😂 I still going to try to wear them this year. And I agree Curology is amazing. I am using over a year. I use 0.035% strength, every day. I was thinking to increase, but i started alternating nights with AHA’s and day time with Ferulic vit C so i think I will stick with the same strength, because I want to start doing medical micro needling, so I don’t want flare ups, that I had a few times, when I over did it with actives 😂 Have a blessed day🙏❤️

Hi Giedre! Thank you for sharing. Your jewelry sounds amazing and Prada sneakers, wow! Sounds like you have a great skin care routine going. I do Vit C in the morning along with lactic acid some mornings. I recently did microneedling with an aesthetician but she didn't go deep so I felt like it was a waste. I do want to try a more intense micro needling so if you start, let me know what you think of it? Great chatting with you! I hope you have a blessed week!

Hi Daniella! You are totally right! I should wear it everyday - I can even wear mine in the shower so there is no reason to ever take it off. And yes, I am tempted to sell it. The Super Goop you don't like isn't great for the face but is great on the legs and arms. I use it a lot, it doesn't dry my skin out, but I have super dry skin and live in a desert area.

I had the EXACT same experience with the Tarte concealer! Used it once and threw it out. I too have very dark circles and some fine lines. It only emphasized these flaws! I have not found the perfect concealer, (probably isn’t one for my issues. Lol! )but I am much happier with the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop concealer by NYX. Good coverage and it doesn’t settle into my lines. I’m with you on the romantic blouse look, too. Just not my style anymore. Think you were spot on with your best and worsts. Loved all the “bests.”!

@@MariaNicoleStyle I have very sunken eyelids and dark circles. The best concealer I've tried is DOUBLE WEAR by Estee Lauder. It was expensive but lasted for years. They have a new packaging now, but it's probably quite similar and worth trying.

My best purchases in 2023 are the sky high waisted wide leg jeans from Old Navy, and the camel colored bomber jacket from Loft. Also a super cute black T from Banana Republic that I'm wearing with my chunky gold necklace from Monica Vinader. I'm wearing the jeans constantly, with all my tops and sweaters. My worst purchase in 2023 has got to be a pair of beige trousers from White House Black Market. I thought I could tailor them just a tiny bit to make them fit. Wrong! And lesson learned! If it doesn't fit perfectly in the store, leave it there.

As always, great video Maria. I have the same problem with under eye concealers. I have had some luck with (Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear). The other one to try is (It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer). I warm them with my finger and let them set for a few minutes while I do whatever. Then I go back and pat out the creasing with a good brush. A little always is better than too much. t isn't perfect but it's the best I have found. If I had to choose one concealer year round I think I'd go with It Cosmetics. It doesn't dry out the undereyes at all. Good luck and I hope this helps. One other thing, could you recommend a bra? I want to get the Cos merino wool shirts but I will need the proper bra. Thank you again Maria.

Hello! Thank you for your recommendations. I've tried both - I like the lancome but it's pretty light coverage and I always struggled to get good coverage on my very dark circles, but it wears very nicely. I've also tried It cosmetics (my sister swears by it) but I think I was always heavy handed with it so it looked cakey but I should probably try it again :) For a bra, my favorite everyday bra is this simple one from calvin klein - its what i was wearing in this video. rstyle.me/+nEh4zJod1euTzIWXHFVHPg It's a good t-shirt bra. I decided to send them back but I love the flare and definitely want to find a replacement.

Maria… It’s interesting, because when I see that Sezane shirt, that doesn’t look like you to me… That is not my style either and that is generally the problem I have with Sezane… They’re a little too, gosh, feminine for me, I think? Too many details, maybe! I like a little bit of structure! OK, back to the video! Lol

Hi Lisa, yes I made a mistake with that lacy shirt. You are 100% right, many of sezane's tops are a little too soft feminine and I like a strong bold feminine :) Yes definitely more structure too.

Hi Julia, oh sure, eventually! Right now, my left ear is in the healing process and it's currently in a really goopy ugly crusty state. I have 3 new ones all trying to heal at once plus a 6 month old one that got aggravated from the 3 new ones so I won't be showing this ear for a while. Thank you for your interest!
