"Investment pieces" really do depend on where you live and your personal style. You do need to have the associated social life because few of my friends or family would know or care who Celine or Loewe are:-) However - high end shoes and belts don't need the label, they are just better and last forever, but will come and go style wise. I have some YSL heels that are super elegant and 40 years old - and still come out :-)

I completely understand what you mean by not knowing whether people are interested in this sort of thing, but yes, they are. Because at the end of the day, we all love beautiful items and we all strive to more than we have, without this offending or hurting anyone! I tend to go for preloved investment pieces now ;)

The Celine scrunchie is amazing! And white was definitely the right choice. I imagine calling it a 'scrunchie bracelet' is one part nod to 'effortless styling' and one part marketing like 'look, this isn't overpriced, it's a two-in-one. Great video.

I don’t own designer and I’m trying not to purchase anything else. My closet is bursting. But… I love your tips and style. I apply it to what I have. I also feel quality is way better to splurge on than a dozen cheap fast fashion items. I can easily buy a bunch of items I barely like at the same price of one quality item that I love. 😊

I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 75K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again

@@peterwilliams6361 The broker I'm in touch with is *ASHLEY AIRAGAHI . I came across her in a Bloomberg interview and got in touch with her. You can use something else. For me, her strategy works hence my result. She provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on

I love your clothing tips. However in my opinion a scrunchie with “celine” all over it is not necessary. There’s other options that are cheaper and can still elevate an outfit! But always buy what you enjoy!

I love your videos and style. I have 2 suggestions - 1. I am 68 and you may have ideas on certain looks of "here is what you might do a little differently if you are a mature woman " . I realize that most of your looks are elegant and classic - but just a thought to keep us more mature ladies - stylish but age-appropriate. Also, for those of us who have no seasons (Miami) but like to look seasonal - perhaps a once a season post and capsule with lighter weight clothing - still acknowledging the seasons. Thank you for the fun escape you bring with your videos and ideas!

I’m 62 and in Georgia. We definitely have to do lighter layers, don’t we? But other than that I think her approach is so classic & elegant that I don’t feel I have to “adjust” anything due to my age, just occasionally due to my height (only 5’3”). She definitely gets me searching online for items & silhouettes I see her wearing that I don’t have, especially when hers are British brands that don’t ship here!! My last trip to England was for sightseeing- if I ever get to go back, it will include a lot of shopping!! 😂

@@karennealy1857 Hello Karen - sounds like you have some of the same weather restrictions on clothing. I have finally learned to stop buying clothes for the life I don't have -- sweaters, coats, etc! I, too, am 5'3" and that was going to be my other suggestion --- that Lydia show some adaptations for those of us who are "height challenged" and can't swim in fabric like taller ladies. Great idea about an England visit. Arket is the main one with no US shipping it seems.

I know however that when I’m ready to take that plunge, I will so it’s good to learn from you. And for anyone looking, don’t rush, and get the best pieces that speak to you, not necessarily what is trending. Also look at resale value. Insightful video, Lydia. I think I’ll keep the YSL belt on my radar but I don’t even wear belts😂 looks great how you styled it.

I love your work, and it's your money not mine, but I can't fathom spending approximately $300 on a scrunchie! Tops that's 10 minutes to sew (beginner level) and less than $10 worth of fabric. Even if most of the cost is from the gold piece, that price is a bit much. I guess you're doing well!

I've always loved the Gucci purses you have shown! Especially the one with the fabric and brown strap. Loved the pictures you've shown and how it elevated your whole outfit! I’m the opposite, practically the only expensive wardrobe items I buy are shoes. Cheap shoes don’t last and constantly have to be replaced. I buy good quality, classic shoes and boots. They last forever.

I bought a classic black Enny handbag and a pair of black Ballly sandals instead of a wedding dress over 40 years ago. The sandals finally broke about 10 years ago, the bag is still used. They weren't designer label or very expensive, just better high street. High spend doesn't mean it will be worn longer or more often. It would be useful to do a comparison of items at 3 price points to look at the quality, design and pros and cons.

I loved the video, I actually really love all of your videos. I have to say, I would also really love to see a video on this same topic for items of clothing. Jeans, trousers, white shirt, blazer...etc, some of the wardrobe basics you are always speaking about, but maybe also including a few splurge pieces of nonbasic that unique piece you've actually got a lot of use out of. I have investment pieces as well - Balenciaga, Gucci, Fendi and Celine are my favorites. It's mostly sweaters (jumpers), scarves, and items I use for many different outfits, as well as some shoes. I have to save for these items but they've lasted me and I take good care of the items. ☺️ I also frequent secondhand online stores like Vestiaire collective and that has saved me loads of money on my purchases. 💜 Love your vids!

Great choices! I would think about whether you prefer a more structured bag (Polene), or something more relaxed and slouchy (Loewe)? I have the numero huit in the mini, in the taupe shade, and wear it a TON in summer. I like the structured bag with the more relaxed summer silhouettes… but that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

But it feels nice to look nice and put together 😊 my grandma always looked put together, even though she used to have to go out to the animals, run after the cows and sheep, milk them, feed the hen and gather egg and clean the animals’ home. She also was poor, but she would wear her flowers headscarf, a midi dress snitched in the waist with waistline, wearing her round gold earrings and wearing K’hol (black traditional eyeliner, that I made a DIY on my channel) and red lips and cheeks using beetroot extract that she makes herself.

Nowhere in particular, but the way I see it is I have to wear clothes no matter what I’m doing so I might as well look nice and feel good in them. The more I watch videos like this and put them into practice, the less it feels like actual effort to get dressed nicely - it feels only slightly more difficult than wearing leggings, but makes me feel so much more put together 😊

Girrrrrrlllll ! I'm 53 (definitely do NOT look it- Instagram profile pic is filter free!) And I bought my first gucci at 16 (still have it- VINTAGE BABY) and I can tell you with a 💯 certainty no matter what you do they wear terribly on the bottom 🤦‍♀️ so I started buying Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, etc.. they just wear better. Now, living in Arizona it is definitely not worth buying the Hermès sandals- we beat the hell out of them in the summer so I stick with classic birkenstocks ! Lydia- it doesn't go below °105 in the summer 🔥 thank god it not humid ! I'm definitely going to purchase those sunglasses and hold onto them for dear life because I'm terrible losing them 😄

Hi so I tried the atónteme boots, they are so cute and versatile to wear with anything. However taking them off is a problem. I couldn’t do it myself, I needed help so not sure if I should keep them. Have you had this issue, maye. I need to stretch them?
