Been tying that knot and love It but last season started doubling it for double San Diego jam and hadn’t broken off at the knot yet

Simple and easy. I still like the knot I use. Works great on any line type and I have great confidence in. Caught many a long nose gar on it while Bass fishing.

In the UK it's a traditional knots that has been used for ever, I personally have used it for over 70 years we call it a tucked blood knot. Watching USA videos I've seen that same knot called many things. By the way unless the hook eye is too small I think that it's better if the line is doubled.
