with that kind of textured hair its best to start out by spraying it with water then brushing out all the knots with the afro comb cuz a lot of loose hair and knots are gunna need to be brushed out so its definitely all the same length at the end. Then level it with the clippers ... then fade the sides ( or the other way round what ever you want)and then put some product in it like olive oil hair cream to get the curls back (or water because that ovbz works too lol ... but the cream leaves it looking healthy/hydrated and smelling really good).

I love, LOVE doing burst fades, it’s amazing how many different techniques, we as barbers have , to achieve the same results... when I do a burst fade, it’s a little different than most, I start off with balding out a perfect ⭕️ above the ear, or as close to perfect as I can get, than I fade around the circle, a little unorthodox, yes... but it was the way I was taught, so I just followed instructions, it was tough for me initially because I had a hard time drawing a perfect ⭕️ let alone fading one lol , but it all worked out in the end because the end result is the same as the ones I saw others achieving with different techniques

I guess my personal style is becoming more antiquated with every passing year, I almost refused to do enhancements for awhile, I’ve recently given in and I now will do fibers, if they ask, but as far as colors, I still haven’t given in, but with how popular they’ve become , especially on KZfaq, I’m getting more and more folks asking for them because my clients see them being done on KZfaq.... I still haven’t invested in the equipment it takes to do colors, but I’m thinking about it now because so many ppl are now asking for them

You can say that if that’s what you see. I see very well shaped pointy sideburns. It’s all a matter of perspective
