The 3ds is one of a handful of handhelds that sits on my night stand -- why? Because it's got an amazing selection of games of all kinds... Here is my 3DS collection as of March 2020... I think it's come a long way since last year. Don't forget to let me know if you know of any great shmups for it!

The 3DS is the console i bought the most games for. There are so many great games. I hated the ips screen lottery though...

Retr0rob Oh?! Some 3Ds consoles had TF screens, some ips with better view angles and brighter colors. It was a lottery to find a decent unit with at least the top panel being ips...

Hey, another episode to go ! 3DS is another undiscovered area for me. Right now the only game I'd really like to play on this would be Professor Layton game, since I completed all 4 games for DS, but its a puzzle game, with dozens of riddles to solve. Speaking of racing games, one of my favourite series also made it for 3DS being Driver - although I'm not sure whether its just a port of San Francisco or stand alone game. Anyways good luck with finding new games, and finding good bidders on Snoopy !

Got the news that MGC is cancelled about the same time as I got notified about this video. Was looking forward to seeing the guys, playing the games, and drinkin' the beer! Hope to see you guys next year after this all blows over!

@@Retr0Rob Is there a calendar somewhere I can go to for the event schedule? I wasn't aware you guys had a regular schedule of events. I'd love to come sometime! It may not be MGC, but I at least have some making up to do once all this Corona (that pairs well with Lyme) is all over :P

Steel Diver is very good. It was my first 3DS game. It can be very hard later on. Beautiful game and a ton of good gameplay. It's a shame you haven't even tried it yet. I would love to help on the racing games question, but I can't help much. Nintendo isn't the most racing friendly company for some reason. The only racing games that I have on it are Ben 10 Galactic Racing, which is a kart racing game, far less depending on gambling than the Mario Kart games, which makes it a winner for me. There is the Sonic racing transformed (I think, the name confuses me) which is also good, though the PS Vita version is better. My favorite (and 3rd) racing game on the 3DS is a digital only title, Out Run 3D. The game is amazing, and for me it is the best version of Out Run since the arcade experience.

I think I have two copies of Steel Diver! I've still not played it... And yes, racing games on the 3DS, F1 2011, Need for Speed: The Run and Ridge Racer are all I have, the DS has a better selection. Shame - I also would like to hear any more vehicular 3DS recommendations. Cool video, i think you've conviced me to get Xenoblade Chronicles.

Dude you got to be Dragon Quest 8 that's the only one I played besides 11 and it is by far awesome I just picked it up last year for the 3DS to you're in for a real treat it's a long one two I got 90 hours in and I haven't beat the end game bosses just finished the story amazing though.

RetrOrob there’s 2 games that you should add to your collection, one is ‘Heroes of Ruin’ really good game and second is ‘Castlevania Mirror of Fate also really good game

Turtles could be a good fighting game if done right as well. I agree a beat em up makes most sense, and other than those 2 types, not sure it makes much sense.

RE: Pikmin...I’m not sure how well a 3D Pikmin would work on that small, low res screen. Would make it difficult to keep track of all of those small Pikmin IMO. Not saying it couldn’t be done, but there would definitely be some major hurdles to overcome.

I'm guessing that's what they were thinking too. It kind of reminds me of the early days of handheld gaming when a lot of console games were converted into side scrollers for handhelds.

Context matters. 21:56 "I can't believe this game wasn't like one of the biggest hits for the 3DS" I literally said 3DS. Also the game was released in 2010. The "New" 3DS was released that year, so it easily could have been a hit on that platform... Oh... and it was also released on the Switch, which I mention in the video. The game is not exclusive.

To be honest you're better off buying a fake Chinese psp with a bunch of built in games than a 3ds cause it's hard to find 3ds games and you still gotta pay for the games
