I hope that this may encourage you to know that everyone's journey in tech is filled with mistakes or bad habits that we develop along the way. I have to remind myself that it's okay to fail, as long as I get back up and learn from those mistakes.

Nice stuff 👌.. definitely up there with tutorial hell ..also i think 'community taught' is more "nicer" as compared to 'self taught'.. especially if you are like me where web articles and discord and KZfaq is where you learn most ..

I highly agree with you Frank, I also think that self-taught is actually more community taught - in terms of everything you are getting access to is provided by others, free of charge. If it wasn't for KZfaq, Blog articles, Online courses, Stackoverflow etc.... very few of us would be "self-taught" 😅

My biggest mistake was jumping straight to video tutorials without reading the documentation.

Do you mean to tell me that you are employed as a software developer without a degree? 😲 I was looking to go this route but wasn't sure if it was actually possible.

I do actually have a degree, just not in Computer Science. So I learnt how to code on the job/self-taught. But you should definitely go for it, it's about your attitude, willingness to learn and overall passion. Those things will count more.
