I love love love how detailed she is. This project honestly took 5 days to complete, even longer to film, and then EVEN longer to edit. Though throughout the video you see her saying “I had a little extra time so I decided to add more detail”. I really appreciate the effort she puts into the things she does and it inspires me to do the same. I also love how connected we feel as viewers. Like at the end she lets us know that the dress still had imperfections and she is still learning. Little things like that make a big different, and she really is showing us that you can do anything if you put your mind to it!! Like how impressive it is that she just learned to sew this year!! Thanks Mia for everything you do!!

Be careful about that joy. I used to tell myself I was good at things simply because I made them. And overlooked the mess behind it. I would accept anything as good and this has cost me quality in the things I made. I remember telling my dad I wanted to go to the mall wearing the skirt I made as a kid. It was two rectangles sewn together. But after 10+ years sewing I finally got to a point where 10 year old me would've gasped. I still settle sometimes and overlook mistakes. Like when I made my mom's present. I sew some pants for her but they're like 99,9 perfect. She loves them though. This comes from an avid sewer who makes anything. I've sewn skirts, pants, dresses, tops and my biggest accomplishment has been wearing them proudly in public as regular clothes. Funny how my dad even mistook some of my fits for store bought clothes. When I told him I made them he was surprised.

My favourite part is seeing Mia taking on these big projects so bravely, she’s so inspiring and positive. Even when she doesn’t feel good about it or it doesn’t work she keeps going. The part where she says she’s not afraid to fail but afraid of not trying is a lesson we all need to live by and seeing her going all out helps me overcome my fears. That along with the kind (and often funny) support from Mama Maples makes me so happy, it’s honestly heartwarming.

First of all, can we just take a moment to appreciate the growth in Mia's sewing skills!! Just yesterday she was pranking momma maples with ✨unique✨ clothing she sewed, and now she made a whole wedding dress! Second, that is SUCH a gorgeous Teuta Matoshi dress. My fav parts are the clips of Mia's motivational self-talks along the way😋

My fav part is when she comes into the room being like “oh my gosh, why does it look so good right now” Also all the dedication she put into this dress. I can’t even finish a dress I started a year ago!

Honestly Mia deserves so much credit for this. It turned out amazing! Also, my favorite part was definitely when she tried the dress on and had the hair like Lady Di’s! That’s dedication

I used to sew when I was younger, and it was always a disaster. Then during covid I made a face mask, and now after watching you, I've decided to order some fabric and make a skirt. You running in the dress with the long train behind you was the best part.

My favorite moment in this video!?!?!? All of it!?!?!? haha but honestly..... all of it. But I guess if I had to choose what will stay with me the longest it would be 1:32 "How do you really know what you can do until you try it? You know the worst thing we could do is fail..... I'm not scared of failing, I'm scared on not trying!" 11:26 "You really don"t know what you tackle until you try it" 11:55 + 12:10 "You don't have to be amazing at something to enjoy it" I need these reminders so much!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you living and sharing your journey with such freedom to be beautifully human. I can't say enough how watching you do something as simple as sewing (and many other things) over the past year has encouraged me so much! Like, you just freaking tried and allowed yourself to have fun in the victories, and in the unexpected!! We are made up of so many unique qualities and we will never find them in ourselves if we are stuck assuming we must do everything perfectly. You are so right..... there are so many things much worse than failing. Ahhhhhh! I can do this! I can just freaking start! Wahoo!

I love the fact, that you're not censoring yourself or editing out the parts you don't like or that don't work out. Love you, Mia. Greetings from Munich :)

“I’m not afraid of failing, I’m afraid of not trying” is both true and so hard to follow. But I think it’s some of why I love you snd your channel. Because having fun, trying new things, being silly - it’s all worth it. It’s worth the scary hard moment of trying something you don’t know will succeed. It’s what makes everything worth it.

My favorite part of this video was Mia’s determination to go above and beyond for this dress. She didn’t have to do multiple layers for the opacity l! So proud of where her skills have come! Also as a 2022 bride I appreciate more wedding content because it’s hard to believe so much planning can come to an end. Love you Mia and Maples family! ❤ 🍒

Honestly I cant believe that you only started sewing a year ago. I think it definitely is all about throwing yourself into projects and not being afraid of failure. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and that kinda tends to impede on progress haha

I love how you just go for things because your right, why not? I’ve been sewing for 10 years and still am too afraid to make things like this. And a lot of sewing is problem solving and figuring things out, and you did a great job of that in this video. It came out so good!

Gorgeous job! But 1 thing, the lace is a beautiful antique lace, Carrick Macross Lace is nothing at all like a table runner! Not is the Wal-mart sale lace anything like what was on Princess Diana's lace. But honey, I have made many wedding dresses. And your deep dive into the world's second most famous dress, Princess Grace's being first, is an amazing feat!!! I would not have even attempted it without the years of experience that I had from age 16. You did an incredible job and most importantly, you didn't collapse on the floor from fear! My motto has always been, "If a person made it, surely I am as smart as anybody else and I can do it too, I just have to figure out how they did it and copy that, then I can elaborate on it if I choose." It is a mottos that has served me well. As is "YOU want $50 to turn the petcock on my radiator and drain it, then poor in the anti-freeze?" No thank you, I have a pair of pliers!" 🤣

My favourite part I when she talks about trying. We all remember the first videos where she sewed things to trick her mom and now she is sewing Diana’s wedding gown. It is very inspiring and you are always in a good mood after watching Mia’s videos.
