When I was young I spent my summers on lady's island in Marsh hawk plantation. Great fishing and crabbing! I miss the steamer restaurant. Nice fish.

In Michigan we have sheepsheads all over aka fresh water drums. I’ve caught 30inchers around 12 pounds even got a video on my channel although my scale was broke and said 18lbs.

In Texas when I was a kid I used to bow fish for sheep head.. I had a recurve bow with a zebco reel and all steel leader.. a few fidler crab to chum the water around the jetty and blame sheepshead for dinner.. lol I miss my days on the coast.. it's been a long time now!

Wow That is a monster sheepshead. Is sheepshead is actually the first fish I ever caught That was about 20 years ago and to this day I still think it was one of the funnest fish to catch because it put up a pretty long fight, especially if not being a four foot monster.

Sheepies on Texas coast that I catch usually don't fight like that, it's kinda like black drum, just dead weight with twitching lol

My God. MONSTER! Used to catch them off the beach in Boca Grande usually in March. Never caught one half that size. It’s weird though. Seems like there’s often a huge fish in middle of school of regular size. We were fishing for Jacks off beach and catching 1 to 2 pounders for hours. About to stop when I hooked into a 12 pounder. 45 minute fight with light tackle an #6 test.
