I think it's absolutely amazing that your taking a back seat on the planning of this tank. It is Matt's shop and it sounds like his crew has put a lot of thought and time into the planning. You being there to guide through the scaping sounds like the help and motivation push they need. I personally enjoy your interactions with the crew there as it all appears smooth and natural. Finally a big tank!! ... I like that you are showing it takes several people just to plan it because that's how difficult big tanks are! I only have 4ft plus tanks so really looking forward to the 8ft getting done.

Wow 8 foot that’s massive! Can’t wait

in nearly a decade of having a youtube account, I have subscribed to 16 channels, most of them have been automatically subscribed without my intent, leaving 5 that were intentionally subscribed. 2 of those 5 are in the last 5 minutes, MD Fish Tanks and Fish Shop Matt. Been following along for a few weeks now. MD gave me the motivation to empty my 100L tank which was failing in plant growth and too much algae due to a poorly thought out substrate, which had lost nutrients. Had everything in buckets, have now rebuilt with bags across the bottom, a good layer of pea type gravel, and an aquasoil on top in thin layer. Built a double island with spider wood upside down creating an arch between the two, all the prongs touching the floor, like stalagtites. Ive got emerald Corys, I breed Plecos and have about 40 babies at the moment. Platys, Mollys, and a centrepiece Blue Gourami Female. Only waiting on plant growth as it still looks freshly planted. (I never managed to get a tank to take off like MD, so heres hoping I have corrected that with a better substrate and nutrients) Thanks Matt and MD!

A while back you asked us to recommend tank ideas and I suggested the green neon tetras and rummy nose. Since then I set up my own tank with them and I love them. The tank you built at the fish shop is gorgeous-truly a work of art. Thanks for sharing.

Very difficult to find inspiration on larger tanks, and since I am rescaping (more like resetting, it's an African Cichlid tank currently) my 6ft tank and will LOVE to see what you guys come up with. Good tip at the end Matt!! The same goes for Pangio oblonga, the dark kuhlis care less about light then the others so you see them way more. Also if you put 40 different kuhli loaches in a tank there's always a happy tangle of loaches wherever you look!! xD

I just got some bandit corys and they have been at the front of my tank for around half of the day. They are skittish, but don’t seem to mind slower movements. I picked up on you leaving the camera and stepping back for a minute to get the best video. I’ve got 2 tanks now, since watching your channel!
