My Birthday Haul: A HOLY GRAIL Retired American Girl Outfit and Lots of Subscriber Mail!!

Ай бұрынMy 46th birthday was at the end of June and once again I was shown a lot of love - homemade brownies and fettuccini alfredo, an outfit from my wish list, several lovely cards and surprises from doll friends, and (after this was already edited for the THIRD time) some gift cards from other family members (which will undoubtedly go to doll stuff :)
Thank you to everyone who reached - my birthday felt like it lasted for days and it made my heart full!

I really appreciate it when people share how much retired items cost or how much they scored the items. I understand that some people are afraid that they might sound like they are boasting, but I think people are going to feel whatever they will feel regardless of whether the price was mentioned or not. I am glad you enjoy that outfit a lot. It is definitely unique looking.

Yep - no one is obligated to be transparent, but you can ALWAYS ask how much I paid for anything in my collection and not only am I willing to tell you the number, but because I keep a pretty good record of all my doll-related spending, I probably CAN tell you ;-)

As someone who has been a fairy to so many events both for fun and as a job that outfit is STUNNING! I really want to recreate it in my preferred colours, it’s so beautiful! And there’s no way I can get it in AUS at all 🤣

Happy Birthday! Congratulations on receiving the Wood Fairy outfit! It is also an outfit I wanted, so my mini me CYO wears it for Halloween and the Renaissance Faire. Awesome to have unused tights! Lavender tights also work well with the Wood Fairy outfit.

I dress a lot of the dolls every year for Halloween and have been paying attention to the older costumes (the Rootin Tootin Cowgirl one would go perfectly in your cowhand/farm scene) and many of them are just hard to find complete and reasonably priced. So excited to have this one!

@@agtakesover yeah I’ve noticed the older costumes are a bit more versatile (except the bride of Frankenstein one lol). I almost bought a renascence princessy costume recently … but I realized I’d never use it. It would go great with your new outfit!

I knew what the outfit was before I even clicked the video! I'm so excited you guys finally got it. It's my all time favorite AG outfit for a reason, it's absolutely ethereal. It's in gorgeous condition too. Prim suits it so well and for whatever reason the combo of Prim as a woodland fairy is making me want to watch Dark Crystal.

I think one day when I have more money I need to buy her on the second hand market. Yes, the wreath is now on display in the Queen's Treasures wardrobe and it looks perfect. Also, the Shimmering Silver doll definitely gives LOTR vibes and I love the Lothlorien look of her.

I have a bucees pretty close to me now, but it used to be only in TX! When I visited my cousin a few years ago, she asked what I wanted to do in Texas, and my only answer was Bucees! It’s a gas station, but it’s the most intense and best one ever! Bucee is their mascot, on the weekends they even have a suit performer for photos 😅 The snack was “Beaver Nuggets” ❤

Thank you so much! That fairy costume was available from 2002-2005 (Woodland Fairy Costume) and it's so unlike other outfits AG has created. I just adore it and feel like Prim and this outfit were created for each other. Also, I really like your doll's fairy outfit!!
