Diary entry, 4th of March '24. I finally found it more than 30 years after I saw this videoclip on TV.

This band is so under rated it's criminal, however...I like that there aren't many ppl who don't appreciate them properly listening, it's like a club with just a few proper members

"Mother played by Peter Beardsley, father by John Cleese" absolutely classic line. Also love "Terry meets June in Tales from the Crypt". Some brilliant lyric-writing in this song

Like I've said in other vids by him...he is close to being given the title of....king of the gift for words......in my opinion anyway. ....he definitely up there with the best lyrics writers....

First heard this song well the whole album when I was 6, going through my mums CD collection in 92-93. I have had no idea what the words meant then and it's only now aged 34 seeing the video for the first time do I get it!

Nice little tongue-in-cheek reference at the end there towards the song that stopped “Song For Whoever” making No.1!. “Back to bed, back to reality!”.

Hadn't heard this (and didn't know who performed it or song title) since hearing it on a Virginia Beach radio station called The Coast back in the early 90s. Weird how I ended up here.
