Lance (27) wasn’t expecting such a sight on his first day of work. All he wanted was a cup of coffee. The next thing he knew, he was greeted by a shirtless man wiping coffee off his torso.
Archer (31) wasn’t sure whether to panic or joke around. Having an employee see him half-naked wasn’t in his bingo card for the fiscal year. Archer ended up apologizing and buying Lance a cup of coffee at the end of the day.
After a brief conversation, Archer had a gut feeling that Lance was someone worth getting to know more about. One long mental debate and Asher soon found himself inviting Lance for lunch. Archer knew that this would stir up some office drama but he was willing to risk it all. His intuition never failed him, after all.
Their lunch together proved to be fruitful. Lance found it amusing how Archer would remind him that he wasn't the senior manager during lunch and how he would prefer not to be treated as such. The two bickered back and forth and began to form a friendship. That friendship soon flourished into something more when Archer began to pick up cues on Lance and his sexuality.
Richard (57) soon heard from the grapevine that his son was slacking off and starting some sort of office romance with a newly hired employee. After talking to Archer about the importance of his image and his name, Richard threatened Archer to fix himself or he would threaten Lance with a lawsuit. Archer wasn't pleased with his father's words and started an argument. The fight didn't end well and Archer was now making phone calls to his lawyer.
Archer decided to tell Lance. Lance was shocked and told him that Archer's father was delusional. They weren’t in a relationship. Lance commented how Archer wouldn't be caught dead with a man. Archer wasn't happy with Lance's words and confessed that he did have feelings for Lance and that he would do everything in his power to protect him. Lance was at a loss for words but knew that Archer's feelings were all but true. They discussed what would become of their relationship and agreed to become official.
The lawsuit was over quickly and Richard had no choice but to back off. Archer and Lance still kept their relationship hush but not for long. The two always made a conscious effort to balance work and their personal lives. Archer then invites Lance to live with him. Lance accepts the invite and they proceed to live a happy life
