My Bow on Alone Season 11, was it a good choice?

This is the bow I took to compete on Alone Season 11. Was it a good choice or did it flop? It is a Bear Super grizzly at 45#.

Grizzly is one of the all time best hunting bows ever built. I’ve had several and still hunt with my 48# Grizz today.

You may like a bit longer bow better. Your (dead) Kodiak Special was longer, easier to shoot and more forgiving because of the reduced finger pinch. Also, the rough standard for draw weight over the measured 28'" is 2 pounds per inch. ----I do enjoy the "Alone" adventures and pay attention to the bow choices. While it may be a contest rule, I am really happy to see everyone shooting instinctively and doing a really decent job. Flu-Flu blunts are a good choice in short cover and elevated shots for small game. Plus, they are also forgiving and easier to find. I hope to see more players make that choice this season. Looks like you got in and out safe and sound. It will be fun to see how it all shakes out this season. P

@@dubgonewild Bear Grizzly as well, nearly same bow. My brother has a 1970/1972 model 45 pounds at 28 inches and was a 47 pound bow before age of bow made a few pounds lighter. I got said bow in 2001 a few months before I found I was a Left eye dominate archer and he bought bow off me when in early high school because I could not use said bow.

Video mainly about the bow. However, no mention as to what extent it provided food in reality. What did you shoot? How many bagged? Was that your primary source of sustenance? That's what most people want to know about. From that perspective the video was disappointing.

45lbs in a recurve is pretty standard. Why would you shoot such a massive weight compound? Seems like over kill. I shoot 65 on my compound and get pass through shots on elk.

I’ve always tried to use just one pin out to 45-50 yards. I’ve gone through a lot of shoulder bones with that bow. I havent shot that compound in a couple years. At this point, 65 pounds is a lot more rational!
