You really underestimate Jimins HipHop background. He did multiple times Freestyle to HipHop and popping. Check out Park Jimin the main dancer of Bts introduction video. Jimin is the most skilled in the group and the special thing is he can dance multiple dance styles plus integrats some of his martial art background. He is not called for nothing the King of K-pop, so many other idols studying his dance and stage presence because he’s one of a kind.

Jhope is insane at freestyling. His insolations are crazy. And dude had won competitions. Technically he is better than Chris brown and usher now. Keeping it real. Also in every concert jhope freestyle all the time. You need to watch a compilation of him freestyling. Dude crazy good even when he debuted dude was already freestyling on shows Bts were invited like a pro. Watch that instead of this out of context cringy videos

I think bc America has so few adequate singer/dancer celebrities, Chris Brown is put on a pedestal that's higher than even he can climb tbh. I mean, we're so lacking in multi talented performers that even though he hasn't really been in the dancing game in over a decade, people still only have Chris Brown to select as player against others currently killing it. You may prefer his style, but J Hope is technically better than Chris Brown. He could do everything CB does, but CB could not do everything JHope does, including learning, executing, and leading/teaching choreography, in a multitude of styles. There's a reason why Chris Brown and Usher have moves that are iconic....when you see it you associate it with them even if they're not the ones performing it. And it's bc it's their bag, a bag they don't really come out of too much. Which is fine, but it doesn't make them better.

Before joining BTS - Jin wanted to be an actor, he didn' t know how to dance or sing - Suga was already a rapper, he didn't dance - RM was already a rapper, he didn't dance - J-Hope was a professional freestyle dancer, he didn't sing - Jimin was a professional contemporary dancer, he didn't sing - V & Jungkook didn't sing or dance. V wanted to be a farmer and Jungkook wanted to be a badminton player But with a lot of work and dedication they are now the best boy band in the world and they can to everything they want: actinc, singing, dancing, composing & producing. 7 kings💜👑

i don´t think BTS became popular from personalites only because BTS had the highest debut streams of artists for years i think they still have the record. and their second album didn´t do so well but the third album sky rocketet and the same for the rest that followed after that. it was like once they found their sound people liked it and songs was trending on all platforms high sportify streams and many didn´t even know who bts was before listening. i became army after listening to idol on repeat for days and then i went and listen to all the other songs the strong bond between army and bTS comes from the personalities yes. if the boys was unkind army would not support them. but it´s always the songs first and then the other stuff.

BTS grew up learning dance by choreo except for j-hope so none of them except for jimin could do freestyle not much and it would be a bit akward at first i think jimin and jk could do it if they had time to just get into the mood. we haven´t really seen them do it. except back in hthe day when hobi had his hope on the street live. when you never learned to just move to the music it´s hard to do even if you know so many steps and rutines it´s totally diffrent. i am best a freestyle because it´s harder to learn a choreo. so a value that they can practise so hard and dance like that. for me freestyle is easy and i never really learned i just feel the beat. i am not good anymore because of my age but i still got it.
