Desperate for a more shapely bottom, Bonnie-Louise Cooper decided that a liquid Brazilian Bum lift was the answer to her prayers. Craving the confidence that a more curvaceous derriere would give her, Bonnie-Louise paid £1500 to have 500mls of filler injected into her bottom during her lunch break. Just hours after the procedure, however, Bonnie-Louise was left fighting for her life after sepsis ravaged her body. She joins us today alongside Dr Zoe to tell her story and highlight the dangers of these so-called lunchtime 'tweakments'.

Why is everyone being so rude about this poor woman. It’s her body, her choice, not only has she lost her money, she had her life at risk, and is now talking to prevent others from her suffering… so much for “be kind”. She’s done nothing wrong, she’s not lied nor stolen nor killed someone ffs!! So brave of her to speak out to help others!!

No-one talks about the amount of pressure women are put under to be svelte and chiselled and perfect (whatever that means). Women just cannot win - we are constantly made to feel like our bodies and the way we look isn't good enough, no matter what we do to them. Even Ben was saying "go to the gym". Why isn't anyone saying, you know what, Bonnie, you are amazing as you are? If you want to do this then fine, but just know you are amazing as you are. More and more women feel the need to do this kind of thing and increasingly put themselves at risk, whilst business cash in on our insecurities. Well done Bonnie for being brave enough to come out about this procedure.

Absolutely no sympathy for vanity or self inflicted wounds….that is no excuse to mutilate yourself or your body to gain confidence..it’s a state of mind..and this is another reason to teach kids at a young age to be comfortable in “their” own skin…..and not to be……confused with essential cosmetic surgery.

People can be mean in comments but luckily she's safe and in recovery. Whilst i personally am against these types of thing im not heartless and still have compassion for those who feel their not enough due to comparing themselves to others and seeing these type procedures as an option. She’s absolutely beautiful!! The problem is unrealistic expectations we put on ourselves and social media contributes to that. No matter how beautiful you are looking at images that are filtered, photoshopped etc…will make anyone feel insecure. I’m 49 and have never been as beautiful as her ever in my 20’s. I wish I could look like that after having going through childbirth. I think our heads have messed up our priorities. I’m glad she’s going to be ok.

For those of you who are so quick to judge really need to try being more empathetic. It may seem extreme, silly or shallow but insecurities while seemingly trivial can lead people to doing seemingly ‘crazy’ things to feel better about themselves. I’ve had body dysmorphia for over 10 years, and your mind can take you to some really dark places.
