Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is a game that I love. Or until recently that is. To be frank I've got no idea where this game sits with me anymore. So enjoy my breakdown of my breakdown with Dirge of Cerberus!

I think the biggest nail in the coffin for this game was the fact that a year before it came out we got both resident evil 4 and Devil may cry 3. games so good they are inspiring things to this day. poor old dirgey never stood a chance

Now I'm imagining a reality where Dirge is just a badass (and good) mix of RE4 and DMC3 and I'll be crying about that for a while I think

I did love this game when I was younger, but I played it before I played both of those games. So, yeah, it makes sense.

Nice review, i wanted to play this game but the pacing is really a drag, i'll try it again some time.

I remember playing this game way back in the day, and it just 'clicked' for me the moment I turned off aim assist. You practically double your damage with that sweet red number when you hit a head/weak point shot, and doing so while moving takes a much less than brainless approach. It's a shame that it was on by default and will stand as the 'definitive' experience for most.

Perfect point. Most people that complain about it did not properly play it the intended way, like a "shooter"

random ass video showing on my front page, good video though, really cracks that romanticized version i had in my head, back from when i was an edgy teen that liked vincent's design and literally wanted a shooter spin off with him also something funny, i played this pirated in japanese and then pirated in english, and it's kinda interesting how the gun customization in JAP had a sight that lets you use the zoom in, while the USA/EU version had the zoom-in by default
