I think the only thing she didn’t discussed here is power pumping. Also, breastfeeding is a lot of work. I went back to work after 7 weeks post delivery. My milk supply suffered. Needless to say, I stopped due to my mental health. I’m also a NICU nurse

The massage part helped me establish my milk flow and also to remove what they call "lamig". Pretty much, the baby needs to latch every 2 hours while trying to establish the flow. And yes, breast feeding requires hardwork because not every Mom is gifted.

Mother of 3 kids.. All of them were breastfed.. My youngest (almost 2yr old girl) is still breastfeeding up to now.. Thank you ms. Solenn for the encouraging words.. These past few days po kase nakakaramdam ako ng pagod kase laging gusto maglatch ng bunso ko.. Kapag naiyak, dede. Kapag walang magawa, dede. Kapag tutulog, dede. Habang tulog, dede parin. Pagkagising dede uli.. She's almost two pero ayaw parin nya bumitaw at magbottle feeding. But just like you said, hang in there... Motherhood is really a tough job.. Congrats on your baby girl and to your breastfeeding journey.. 😊

My baby is celebrating her 15th month today. 15 months of pure breastfeeding too. This vlog made me cry because breastfeeding is really hard but it is indeed the most rewarding feeling ever! I really love this vlog! Lack of education about breastfeeding is really happening in our country and Solenn, you did an amazing job in using this platform to share tips to thousands of people who will see this. I also learned a lot from this. Thank you and God bless you and your lovely family! 💙

Started out miserable in breastfeeding but so happy that I’m on my 12th month now 😊 I didn’t have much support when I started breastfeeding my baby but the more they noticed how determined I was in increasing my supply they helped me eat well like giving me foods that would help me produce milk. I find breastfeeding both beneficial to mom & baby since it did help with losing the excess weight for the mom and helped my baby to stay healthy (she didn’t get colds or even fever) I am an advocate of breastfeeding and Imm so happy that Solenn is too ❤️

Im not yet a momma. But I remember our neighbors always asks my grandma for a back massage because they have a low milk supply. After the massage, they will update my grandma and tell that they have over flowing milk after the massage. None of those who asks my grandma say that the massage didn’t work for them.I don’t know if it’s just my grandma who can do that or there’s scientific explanation behind that. Just sharing.

Very informative.. I’ve been breastfed my first baby and now still breastfeeding my second baby who is now 21 months.. I really want to encourage fellow moms out there to breastfeed especially now with our situation with the covid19.. It will really help a lot with your child’s immunity.. And with the budget of course.. The tips I could add is to stay hydrated and think of happy thoughts, don’t keep in your mind that you don’t have enough milk because we are powerful mommas 💪

I remember how the massage worked for me! And just like what Solenn said, it worked "like miracle". Sa first baby ko, di din agad ako nakapagproduce ng milk until the third day, after I got a neighbor lola manghihilot to help me out. I was skeptical at first thinking, "Anong magagawa ng hilot?" But just like how Solenn demoed it, that massage around the armpit area, I remember the lola actually starting the massage from my back (sa may pakpak and from the shoulder) then forwards toward the boob section. It was crazy and it really worked! I seriously felt the milk swoosh in and started leaking! From then on, I kept latching my baby and my milk supply got better along the way. So I attest sa massage tip talaga ni Solenn! Great vlog, by the way so I'm sharing it! So happy to know that you're a BF mommy, too! Breastmilk is definitely best for babies.

Thank you Solenn! I was slowly losing hope my baby is turning 8 months old now. I worked hard to EBF my baby for the first 3 months even with the same situation with you. I have low milk supply and I mixed-fed because I wasn't able to build my milk supply and my baby always runs out of my pumped milk before I went home. So I have to give her one bottle of formula milk. Then slowly my milk supply drains out. I can't pump my regular 5 oz which I worked so hard to achieve. So I was about to give up then I saw your video. I tried it out immediately. The lactation massage works wonders! my milk squirted far haha. Now I'm going back to my routines and will try my very best to bring back my milk supply. THANK YOU

What a great way to use your influence Solenn! 👍🏼 If I may add, one thing that helped me with my average supply is CLUSTER PUMPING. I would normally produce 1.5oz of milk per hour on average after the first pumping session in the morning. Let’s say that if I pump every 3 hours for a whole 15-20 minutes, i would normally get 4.5 oz. What I do is that after that first pump, I take a break for 10 min. and then pump again for another 15 min. On my second pump, I’d normally get 2.5 oz! I’d take a second break again for another 10 min. and pump again for the third time for 15 min. On my third pump, I would normally get 1.5 oz. In sum, for 60-70 min. of pumping (including two 10-min. breaks), I would get 8.5 oz! I would normally do this in the morning while I’m prepping up for work and/or in the evening before going to sleep. What I’ve also noticed is that if I cluster pump in the morning and evening on 3 days straight, on the 4th day, I produce 1.8-2 oz. of milk per hour after my first pump in the morning. Please try it. It could make a difference in you supply.

And lactation consultants, pumps, vitamins, etc. I have a baby almost 1 and my goal is to breast feed her for 2 years or longer. And i had so many struggles breast feeding too. So happy to see other moms talk about breast feeding. And 2 years of breast feeding is such a little time when you think about them growing up.

Well-made video on breastfeeding, Solenn. And yes! Stress and getting sick can decrease your supply a lot. I did not produce a lot (2-3oz per session) and ended up doing mix feeding. I found doing lots of skin-to-skin with baby (in carrier), take a warm shower and resting as much as you can help with increasing milk supply.

Ang beautiful tingnan ng breastfeeding talaga. Also thank you for the tips most especially the massages. Like nobody tells women these things and have to figure out everything through trial and error.

My sister also screamed like you during her first few days of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is hard but super worth it for the baby 💛

The video is very helpful to those mom who's also having difficulties in breast feeding. I do breastfeed with my first born up until his 3 years old. And now with my second born, she's already 1 year and 2 months and she's still breastfeed. ❤❤ So far I have enough milk ❤✨ God bless you solen

When i was pregnant years ago, i attended breastfeeding seminars and i found that all they talk about is the benefits of breastfeeding and proper latching. Nobody in the seminar said it was going to be hard for some. When my eldest was born, i didn't have enough milk... He cried the whole night so that means no sleep... No sleep = no milk. I could only pump 1ml to 2ml if I'm lucky. I just stopped pumping coz it was stressing me out... Stress = no milk. Husband not helping much and my baby cried all day especially when i'm just about to eat (take out food)... Bad nutrition = no milk. I discovered later on coconut milk and shellfish are very helpful producing milk. I never gave up and i breastfed my baby until he turned 2. He was purely breastfed coz he never learned to drink from the bottle. This is a good info for new to breastfeeding. I wish there was something like this when i was pregnant. Lactation consultants gives you encouragements but that's it... You have to hear it from people's experiences.

I am one of the the gifted moms but still doing some stuff to keep my milk flowing for my 14month old baby like drinking water (just warm or room temp water. never cold water) before and after feeding and pumping. This is a great help to add to the things I know for breakfeeding. Thanks Gorgeous Solenn! ❤️

Another tip but for hubbies and partners: Give full support to a breastfeeding mom. If she says wash the bottles and pumps, do it, if she needs massage, do it, help in burping the baby after feeding, let her sleep in peace kahit isang oras lang na walang putol. Never complain, it's the least you could do, breastfeeding is not an easy task. Support from the household is very important to make breastfeeding a success.
