My buddy bought a 2005 jeep wrangler unlimited LJ with 41k original miles. The Jeep was originally from Texas so it is super clean and has zero rust on it. We took a road trip to Iowa to go pick up the jeep and made a video from it. Jeep has a lift on it with 33 inch tires, 4.88 gears, 6 speed manual transmission and a bunch of other mods done to the jeep that we will cover in other videos. Hope you enjoy the video and future videos of this beautiful LJ.

Such and absolute classic Wrangler. Shame is only had a lifespan of 2 years or so.

I’m driving my nearly identical 06 LJ from Reno, NV to Richmond VA this week. Guess I know what to look forward to, except mine is an auto with no cruise control

18" longer wheel base + extra 5" in the body, I believe.

Not 18”…. It’s 15" longer. 2" behind the front seat (more rear legroom) 13" behind the rear seat (more cargo space), 10" of added wheelbase and 5" added behind the rear axle

No, there was maybe 1/3 of the LJ’a that were rubicon. Making them the unicorn of jeeps currently. And of course. They were called the “wrangler unlimited” 2004-2006.

You know you're a Jeep lover when you call it an LJ when Jeep never made any LJ. They did make the Unlimited TJ 03-06 which gave it an additional 15 inches wheelbase which is where Jeep lovers gave it the name LJ "Long Jeep", which is highly sought after. If I'm correct 03-06 the VIN# did not even offer the Unlimited as a body, thus identified as the 6th digit in the VIN. I would love to know what your six-digit reads? (1997-2000) 1 = Sport, (1997-2003) 2 = SE, (1997-2000) 4 = Sahara, (2001-2003) 4 = Sport, (2001-2003) 5 = Sahara, (2002-2003) 3 = X, (2003) 6 = Rubicon. I have been unsuccessful in identifying any LJ via the VIN. I can find no literature online. I'm not even able to get a build sheet breakdown for the Unlimiteds made from 03-06.
