I've been asked by quite a few artists about my video setup.
Creating a painting video content presents its own set of challenges. So today, for the very first time, I’m going to reveal my whole video and live stream setup to you!

I'm currently building a setup to start recording and livestreaming my painting processes and this video is a gamechanger, that motorized tripod is INSANE, I can't afford all of this gear at the moment but this setup is definitely gonna remain a goal and point of reference to build towards, thank you!

Wow. Thank you for such a detailed and informative video. Not everyone would share this type of info, but I believe in not reinventing the wheel and have huge respect for artists who helps other artists on their learning journey. I'm going to look on your channel now to see if you've done one about lighting, which is what I am struggling most with right now. This was the first video that popped up and it was the best explanation for setting up recording painting. I have been using my phone, editing, and posting for the whole process. I’ve been thinking of getting a camera. I also have been thinking of getting a better computer to edit on. There’s so much that goes into making a great video and your set up is great. Thank you for sharing. I like the split screen and three camera idea. Also I never think about the mic and turning my head making the sound less audible. So the mic you use might be something I will try.

Eric wow great video my friend I have been breaking my back with film output post editing etc. Doing it your way saves heaps of time as the film like a stream is ready to go . I use obs for streaming and as you know I use a cam link . You put me onto that in lockdown. I need to study this video further. One question is this feeding everything into the obs link you have a multiple hub for the cam link I did think it could support many inputs, I am wrong it seems. Also the you you the obs platform to record the video and out put as MP4 . The set up is so neat and simple and a one take . I guess if you need to add talking head intros etc you can simply bring that mp4 finished file into you editing suite and further play around. So many questions, but you have shown me a simpler more time efficient way to create video. Thank you

Hi Eric, I came here whilst looking for advice on lighting my art videos and I’m completely blown away by your setup! I’ve learned of a few things I didn’t know even existed such as the small pad you have that lets you control everything and also the motorised tripod. Many thanks for this video, it will be a great help. One thing I did notice though was that the link for the led light pad shows that is it no longer available on Amazon. Could you recommend a suitable alternative that has similar (or the same) features? Thanks. 🙂👍🏻

it should be good. However you do want to think about what lens you are getting. For general use, I think ZV-1 would be a simpler choice.
