Exciting times ahead brother. As a soldier retired I have to say your packing is on point. I wish you both success and growth within your faith and relationship. Every father and son should aim to do this at least once. A recommendation... a net bag with draw string for washing your clothes, especially when sharing the facilities .

Buen Camino! I walked the Camino from St Jean Pied de Port twenty years ago. It was a great experience. It is a spiritual and human discipline. And I did not get a single blister using the double sock technique.

Solomon boots are fantastic. They, however, tend to be a narrow fit. They do wide fit versions, so it's worth going to a shop and trying them on. Enjoy walking with your son, he's a great boy.

You are well prepared. You would be a great tour guide! The time you and your son share will be a source of great blessing for you both!! The walk though sounds grueling.

I also love the way you film while walking in particular places. Tom of the Tom Medjugorje channel does the same and it makes us viewers feel like we are there with you!!!

I wore my runners & merino wool socks on the Camino Portugues - no blisters 👍

As long as someone has no blisters then they are perfectly fine

I found a small amount of petroleum jelly does wonders for keeping one’s feet from chafing.

I have been checking these Camino videos now and then when I remember but have now subscribed so I am reminded! QUESTION: Do you have a set itinerary or even an estimated one? If so can you please hold it up so we can take a screen shot? OR maybe you have a link if you are following a path with a set group. I love following maps and love seeing the country you will be walking through. And as I went on a pilgrimage in 2010 with my sister, seeing your beautiful sharply focused videos is an absolute treat bringing back memories!
