For a little clarification, I was mostly worried that something would happen to Bougie outside before he was able to smell his way home. We do have some wild animals in our neighborhood and I also had no idea how far he had wandered off. Since we dont let him out I was thinking he might've REALLY wanted to explore and gone too far and actually got lost forreal. And yes he is getting a GPS tracker for peace of mind in the future!

OMG!!! I'm so glad your fur baby came back. I was sitting here in tears with you. I have a dog and he ran away when he was only 8 months old. We found him shortly. So I understand.

Helpful tip for cats: if you give them more entertainment & smells they’ll be less inclined to escape & scratch your furniture, some things you could do is give him more scratching posts scattered around the house, maybe buy a catnip plant, or some cat nip.

It’s *their actions, and not ”there actions”. In psychology they don’t focus on blame with kids, but more so communicating things properly in advance, and to explain the outcome of things. Not ”you did this...”, which follows in line ith the blaming which will make children feel guilt and shame. After all kids are in their formative years, and the one 100% responsible is the parent. A small child can’t think of all the different things us adults can think of. They learn as they go, and us adults guide them in a healthy and patient way.

@@soilgrasswaterair her daughter had always followed the rule with keeping the cat in the room when told; however, she chose to disobey the rule on that particular day; which was her choice to follow-through on her thoughts to disobey the rule, which caused their cat to be misplaced for sometime; in which Ziya kept the information to herself because she knew what rule she had broken, only to use her child psychology of guilty tears when mom asked about the cat’s whereabouts......break-down; Ziya knew EXACTLY what she was doing, did, and did not speak truth until asked, and so some form of discipline needs to be rendered. Everything can’t be sugar-coated for kids, and she seems to get that alot🤷🏾♀️

Yes they lead by scent. My cat had 9 babies which she was nursing and my son at the time opened up the door to go out to play and everyone knows to look down b4 the front door gets open bc our cat 🐱 Blondie get's in her feedings and wants to be free in the wild. Well she was gone overnight and I had 9 kittens crying for their mama and her milk 😢 when she showed up the next day she got the scolding of a lifetime. She never did it again and her babies were all adopted except for one that we kept. Your cat will come back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You might want to get a geo collar. My mom has that for our dogs and it might help if you get one that is connected to your phone, then you could know when bougie gets close to the fence or something. Or you could get a chip put in him, just in case.

Aww Bougie saw the street life and came back. I remember in middle school my house got robbed and the door was left open and my heart dropped because I thought my cat left. Cried for 2 hrs & he was hiding in my box spring. You should get had a bluetooth collar just in case.

Sorry to hear about your cat. Its a cats nature to wonder, they are sort of spiritual animals, so they wonder. A cat doesn't get lost. It has an instinctive nature about it that will always lead it back at home.

I live in a suburb outside of Houston, Texas, it was rough for a few days. It was freezing in my home, I was dressed in four layers of clothing for several days. I dripped all my faucets, mercifully I didn't have any broken pipes. I have a gas stovetop which I lit the burners manually to cook. I always keep containers of water in my refrigerator so I had drinking water. I'm grateful that my refrigerator stayed cold and freezer kept my food frozen, I didn't have any spoilage. I limited my water intake so that it would last, also it was so cold I didn't want to move and leave the warmth of my bed. For several days we did have a boil water notice in effect for drinking, cooking, washing dishes.... That was an experience, I've never had to boiled water before. I'm grateful that I had water to flush the toilet etc.... So many people didn't have running water or access to water for tasks we take for granted. I lost power for about 36 hours, I'm so grateful to have electricity and safe water again. However there are still many people still dealing with broken pipes, water damage to their homes, apartments, businesses.... My condolences to the families that lost loved ones during this time to hyperthermia. Please keep Texas in your prayers it will take time for us to get through this difficult time.🙏🏼

I accidentally let my cat outside when i was like 9. I was trying to go outside on my trampoline and my cat squeezed out between my ankles and took off 🙄 I cried so hard. But she came back!! Cats are gangsta they don’t get lost very easy

I wish I had friends, I have my sisters and a fave cousin but I want a solid like good best friend(s) to get together with and do things but also I’m a mommy so I can’t always do things lol. I spent v-day sad (I’m divorced) but I bounced right back after and have been happy lol.

@B MP point being at the end of the day. She left ziya and the other kid ALONE outside while she was in another part of the house where NOBODY could see what they were doing.. PERIODT... she’s LUCKY the cat came back and nobody snatched her child because CLEARLY no adult supervision nor security alarm was on if she has it because she would have have at least HEARD when the door opened. Raven is documenting all this on her vlogs and somebody could be a creep and use that information to break in. She should be wise about what she posts more. Not everything should be documented and posted online.

If she saw him run away while there were others at the house, maybe she was afraid to cause a scene if she would've told you. That anxiety could've for sure taken ahold, because it WAS a situation as drastic as her letting the cat out. I've made similar mistakes as a kid, and I think I would have benefitted from my mom explaining, "what you did was wrong, but for future references you need to come to me with emergencies, so that we can get it sorted out asap" also assuring her that we all make mistakes and thats okay but we have rules set in place to prevent situations that could scar her

That happened to me once with my cat and I lived in a building at the time so I was convinced that he was just gone. But nope the next morning I went back outside to look for him and he was sitting in a little nook next to my building as if he was waiting for me. Cats know where home is and when they return the joy is real. So glad your furry child is back home safe and sound.

So glad you found him🥰. I can relate. I came home from work and my Eve was GONE. The maintenance man had come in (unannounced) and she jumped from the 4th-floor patio! I searched for her for 7 days and yes, I was "manifesting" her back as well. I put her litter box on the 1st-floor lounge area. On the 7th night I went out and called her like I had done all the previous night but this time I heard her lil "meow" I continued to call and she came out of hiding. People on social media were telling me she would not have wandered far as cats stay near their homes (unlike dogs). Sure enough, she had been hiding under a tent of one of the 1st-floor neighbors. Talk about RELIEF. 🤗

I recommend only letting him out sometimes but your present just so he won’t feel like running away and he can explore a little Im very happy he came back cats always do 🥺👑🥰❤️
