Even without suspension mods I would recommend to any modern GTi owner that quality light weight rims combined with good tyres are a must. Will feel lighter on it's feet with sharper turn in. Stock VW rims are around 13KG.

Interesting to see they aligned it right away... typically you want to drive around for a week or so to let the suspension settle. Only springs I know of that don't need to settle are swift.

Wheels are spot on, love the black with red on a gti. Have you considered the larger performance pack calipers with clubsport discs? They'll look great with wheels and still be oem

Nice bro. Just a little tip if you plan to upgrade the brake setup since you’re running on motec ultralights: audi tts 4 pot calipers with 340mm discs, they are quite light and deffo a big upgrade vs the stock 312 setup!

You'll have more sidewall with a 235/40 than a 225/40 as sidewall size is a percentage of the width I think you got the perfect setup there looks good

Hamza have a look at the bushes on the lower wishbone control arm, and subframe alignment. I had the same issue on BMW where the wheel looked further back. Hope this helps inshallah

Looks like it is about time for you too😘 I got the 'check brake pads' warning today (did expect that soon), but having a 2016 PP I'm quite impressed by the stock brakes actually. OEM's are really expensive here in Norway though, almost 1k USD just for front rotors and a set of pads from the stealership... The rear brakes were replaced recently'ish by previous owner, so I just need fronts. Spirited street driving, no track plans.. any suggestions?

Thanks for the videos, really inspiring for viewers to go out there and empty their pockets on mods etc. 😂🙏 Out of interest, I was wondering if anybody declares suspensions to their insurers, the reason I'm asking it's because when I add suspensions my premium goes up by 100% despite I'm 35 and have over 8 years of NCD and driving over 17 years! Any suggestions on how to get it declared but much cheaper, I don't mind if the premium was going up by 25%, but it's unreal when it jumps the premium by 100%! BTW my premium is usually around 400 to 500 quid a year! Cheers
