My father himself was recently diagnosed with cancer, thankfully it was at it's early stages and was successfully treated through radiation.. He's recooperating now and will get monthly check ups ❤ he's still dealing with other health issues and it worries me so much, i still cry even looking at the title of this song, i can't imagine the awful pain when you lose someone to this awful desease.. i have yet learned a valuable lesson to appreciate those around me especially family.. without my dad i don't think I'd ever want to live anymore, i always been his little princess and will always remain

I remember when I told my friend that this is one of my favourite mcr songs. We listened to it in a voice chat together on discord, he cried a lot. He then told me the story of how his mom died, an agressive cancer. Years later, now, he has the same thing. Turns out it's heritable. He got diagnosed a few days ago. He sent me this song now and asked "remember?", now I'm here crying. He will get treatments for it etc and I'll support him all the way through. Let's hope that he makes it, he has the sweetest personality and world needs people like him.

I have always been a huge fan of MCR, but this time just hits different. my grandma die today because of cancer. It was already too late when we found out and we don't even know the location of the tumor. Everything is too fast that I still don't feel like she's actually gone. I had an aunt who was the older sister of my dad. She sufferer from cancer and fought it for a year and a half. She was just a farmer and didn't get marry, still everybody respected her for her hard-working, dedication and truthfulness. She could just rely on my dad as her only family. Having no children so she took care of her nieces and nephew as her own kids. She helped my mom taking care of me when i was a baby. When she was diagnosed with last stage off cancer, my dad spent a lot of money on her chemo treatment. She passed away this March. My family lost a member. This song reminds me off her so much❤

Listening to this as I await my brain cancer diagnosis. I’ve been suffering from trouble forming sentences and speaking, I seem to be having more memory loss, I have a lot of involuntary movements, cognitive issues, I zone out easily, and now I’m getting minor headaches. I’ve never been diagnosed with ADHD or autism which yield the same symptoms. Whenever I’ve thought I’ve had I have a health issue I’ve always been right, when I thought I had scoliosis I was eventually diagnosed, when I thought I had hair loss I was diagnosed with hair loss, and brain cancer is about to be my third. I can't stop listening to this song, cuz my mom knew she was dying from breast cancer and I spent the last month by her side, and she told me the hardest part of everything she was going through wasn't the chemo or the radiation or the wasting away, my mom said "I don't want to leave you" and we pinkie-linked like we always did. it was our special code for when she wanted to hug me like in high school but I'd be too embarrassed for a hug, so we just did a little pinkie link. I was 26 when she died and she's always been my hero and now I've taught my daughter the pinkie link and she loves MCR too

I am 16 years old. I lost my dad on February 5th, 2023 to stage 4 prostate cancer. My older brother showed me this song a few days after my dad passed and when i was going through such heavy grief. When my grandmother got cancer I took her to see oncologist and I remember how difficult it was to sit there, surrounded by all this information about cancer. It felt so dark. I get the same feelings when I listen to this song. For me it's about accepting things that you cannot change. You always have to hope for the best, but miracles don't happen to everyone. Sometimes you just have to accept and let go.

I really love my dog. I've just been told that he's gonna die. He has a giant tumor in his kidney witch exerts pressure to an important artery. It could burst any second. I'm sitting in my room, crying and listening to this song. Somehow it helps. And I think it will help me to get through the next days, weeks, months and years and the rest of my life. When I listen to this song, I think directly of my older sister, who has been fighting breast cancer for at least 6 years and had a stroke that almost killed her and left her with many problems on the right side of her body, as well as some problems in communication and language. Thank God she was able to regain many roles in the last two years. I was so shaken by having to consider the figure I was inspired by and admired my whole life, suffering so much that I was no longer able to visit her like I did before, I didn't even allow myself to feel things the way I used to. I love her so much, but I felt so much injustice in what happened that I keep it all to myself. I don't even show it in front of our parents. This song is an opportunity to release all the feelings I have about this situation. Thank you, MCR. Love you, sister.

i lost my mom to breast cancer when i was just 5, and my dad left her being selfish. “I need to do whats right for me/ I need to stay happy” was his excuse, and god if i tell you how much that woman loved my dad. she would cry with my aunt in the hospital about him. he had given up on her and moved on, i know he was hurt but i wish he would have stayed with her, as much as it would hurt. he gave up on her. i miss her so much and i wish she would have lived a better life, she died with heartbreak.

My girlfriend commited suicide on 16.03.2021. She heard alot of My Chemical Romance, you could even consider them one of her fav. Bands. She asked me if I can play this song on her funeral, on honors to her we played it close to the lake cause I know she enjoyed the lake alot. She was the greatest human I ever met. She had such a big heart and always was there for others, also when she wasn't feeling to good herself. It really is a big honor having her in my life and meeting such a great human! He is one of the emo kids before basing on his fashion and music preference, and I am pretty sure he is an MCR fan too. RIP Mike.
