You like My Chemical Romance? Their early work was a little too screamo for my tastes, but when Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge came out in '04, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. They've been compared to Green Day, but I think MCR has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '06, MCR released this, The Black Parade, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Teenagers", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the dangers of conformity, and the importance of youth violence, it's also a personal statement about the band itself. *kills Jared Leto* Edit: holy shit guys am I the only one whose seen American Psycho around here c'mon lmao

I was a huge fan way before danger days, I loved all their albums . I finally got to see them live during the danger tour and it was amazing. I even read the comic based around it. But Danger Days was something different, the music and lyrics were very light and positive. It was an album where the band seemed to be happy and content. It didn't do well, they broke up after, and I cant say I was a big fan of it either. But seeing a younger audience enjoy it makes me happy for them.

sooo true. i only have to disagree on "i don't love you", i can't cry to that song. i don't know if it's the mostly generic yet over-the-top sad breakup lyrics, the occasional non-sequiturs that hint at untold layers of drama, the way g manages to chew the scenery purely through vocal performance, or just the memory of the music video, but it always makes me laugh. it's camp. to Me
