I was in Cascade Locks, Oregon visiting my daughter a few days ago (from Bay Area) and LOVED the snow!!! We crossed into Washington State (Stevenson-Bridge of the Gods)...and oh my...what a beautiful area. You mentioning the snow just put me right back to being with my daughter. Loved this video. THANKS to your husband who does an INCREDIBLE job filming and editing....just beautiful...I can almost feel the warmth of the fireplace!!

I hadn't watched your show before. I liked how restful it set the tone. Then when you said grab a glass of wine, i went and got one. Lol it reminded me of @rootsandrefuge where she was talking about being a thermostate, not a thermometer. Decor can be a nostalgic feel good blessing to the family.

Very nice video and decorating.i relate to you acknowledging some years there hasn't been much if any Christmas decorating depending on life! This year I'm keeping things minimal. I just feel like being very simple. A small part of me feels guilty for not overdoing but I just feel it's what is needed for our very busy life right now.

It's a beautiful warm sunny morning here in NZ. Sea is flat calm and boats are going out fishing for the day. (Better than this last week where we have had nothing but wind and rain.) I sat down to watch your video and first thing I saw was all that snow. It did look beautiful but Brrrrr. It is such a lovely peaceful video Shaye and the music is perfect. Loved the simplicity of your Christmas decor. I didn't realize that you had a dog, was so nice to see him/her inside with you all.
