Hi Barb, thank you for your kind comment. The waterfall has been made from Polymorph (hand mouldable plastic granules). It's a plastic that when immersed in hot boiling water become soft and mouldable. You have around 10 to 12 minutes to mould it before it cool down and hard again. If you make a mistake you can start again over and over. Each level of the waterfall has been moulded separately and then I have assembled all the levels (starting from the base up) using an hot gun. So no sealing was necessary. Then I made all the engravements using my Dremel. After that came the hand painting with acrylic colors and 2 layers of protective varnish spray to protect colors from water. Hi Carolyn, your village is huge and amazing. Congratulations. You asked for some advice on filming the village but filming and editing it's a personal choice not a pure science. Anyway in my little I generally don't use visual effects (except for transition between scenes) because I don't want to mask the reality or the defects and distract viewers. Your video has quite a lot of beautiful details but I think it's important to also show the viewers the totality of it in order to give them the idea of the entire concept before going to the details. I don't want to bore anyone with my personal thinking and I apologize if I did so. Please Carolyn, feel free to contact me if you need more advices. Thank you.
