I wish they'd allow for a ".ini file" of sorts, so that, you could Copy your workspace into a file type, and would be like "after seeing how I do it, you can now download my setup below". Like it would be helpful, to also test and see if an artist has a workflow other can follow, while not modifying their workspace too many steps ahead, and thinking "His workspace works for me, but the hotkeys he has set, work less well"

I did play around with clip studio paint . And so far I love the brushess they work exactly like sai brush engine . And I love them a lot . But clips studio biggest advantage is that I can export my brushess to . Aw yeah sai and we'll sketch book pro . Also a big favourite in my book . Sorry but I love when software knows how to make a good brushess who take little memerys and have tuns of quality . Like mixing for example .

Thanks for this video as well, very usefull! A question: can I also set a pen with specific settings? E.g. Maybe I use the Turnip pen on opacity 40 - size 12 and a Turnip pen on opacity 100 and size 4. I'd like to quickly switch between those without having to adjust manually to those settings. I know I can duplicate pens and save them as a new pen, but it would be great to store these yo quick access.

Useful, I set up my clip studio environment similar to your configuration. Also, I'm still working out the command bar, not sure where all the layer adjustment shortcuts are located. Does anybody know if ClipStudio offers a way to save out commands and workspace? Or my only option is to dig into the files and find it? Thank you, Vye

As you use both PS and Clipstudio I hope you can help me with the following problem. I mostly did all my illustrationwork in Photoshop, but recently I've enjoyed Clip studio a lot, however, I've come across some difficulties regarding color-reproduction. With Photoshop my Working Colorspace is Adobe-RGB, as I have a compatible monitor. I know that I have to export my images to srgb and embedd the profile with ps, I know the workflow. But there is one thing in Clip studio, that sort of drives me nuts. In the Preferences I can set the working profile also to Adobe-RGB, which should make all illustrations in the painting window display in the right colour space. But It does not, it shows a desaturated colour, and of course I will choose wrongly Whe looking through it, and I get bad suprises when exporting it, and then finding out in Photoshop, which correctly displays Adobe-RGB, that everything is way oversaturated. The only way I've found is to use the Color-Proof tool in Clip studio and also set it to Adobe RGB and have it activated the whole time. I wonder why this is. At the end I'll need to activate the proof each time Iam starting a new painting, which is quite annoying. I hope you understand my problem and have advice. With the PRoof activated the Image still looks dull in the navigator and the preview. I don't know if it uses a weird other profile to display the colour or something, but the only thing I care about is Adobe-RGB and SRGB for Web. Thank you for your time! :)

I hadn't gotten around to Quick Access because I prefer shortcut keys (including my custom Actions👍) over drilling around on screen - but thanks for enlightening me on the versatility of Quick Access Panel after all. Pop-up Palettes! I didn't know about those. I like 'em. It's odd that there are three sets of three options for switching between colors in Shortcut Settings. There must be a reason. it always turns out so.

In case anyone else had the same issue. The problem was that I was using an older version and when I updated it created a duplicated program. So I thought I had updated but was still running the version from a couple years ago. Now I just have to find a an easy and efficient way to transfer my workspaces and brushes to the new version.

Thank you so much for your video! It's really helpful! I have a question about straight lines: is there a way in csp to draw horizontal or vertical lines holding the shift key like in photoshop? I don't want to use grids or rulers for that and the shift clicked lines in csp is way too different. I really hope there is a way.
@ReubenLara
@ReubenLara 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Sadly, I feel this is one of two glaring oversights in the CSP toolset. So, no, there is no horizontal or vertical constraint at the moment (outside of using rulers). Also, I want the freeform lasso tool to be able to switch to a polygon lasso on the fly with a modifier key (also like Photoshop does). I've written in twice about both features, and they've said they are both under consideration for future releases. But the more people that write in the better! Here's the contact page: www2.celsys.co.jp/support/service_en/service.html

Hey I have a question! Is there any way to get CSP's trackpad capabilities to function more like Photoshop? I've been exclusively a Photoshop user until very recently, and in PS I use my trackpad (Macbook) and tablet pretty much in tandem--I use the trackpad to zoom/scroll/pan using the basic gestures with my left hand so I can just, ya know, keep drawing with my right w/o having to think about where I need to go on the canvas. I've been tinkering in the Modifier Key Settings in CSP but haven't come up with anything nearly as intuitive. In fact it doesn't really seem like CSP supports all the gestures a Mac trackpad has at all. Is there any way to fix this or any CSP modifier key shortcuts that are similar to what I'm describing?

Hi, first thanks the videos! Second, I just went through your Graphic Novel Colouring tutorial, from Gumroad. And It's great. BUT, I wish you explained the lighting layers a bit more, instead of just throwing the auto actions at us. I would like to know the specifics of how you made those layers, and how they work. Maybe there's a video or something you could point me at? Thanks again.

Thanks for the good word! Glad the course was of some inspiration to you. And thanks for the suggestion of explaining the adjustment layers a bit more. how do you save your quick access bar? because wile i can reload my old saved work spaces the content in my quick asses does not stay
@ReubenLara
@ReubenLara 5 жыл бұрын
Are you reffering to the Command Bar or the Quick Access Palette? The command bar setup is per workspace, so you'll have to set the command bar up for each workspace. Optimally you should set up your command bar how you want your permanent setup to be, then save individual workspaces from there. That way each new workspace inherits the original command bar setup. The Quick Access Palette should always be the same no matter your workspace.

Is it possible to set it up like Procreate a simple layout. Thanks
@ReubenLara
@ReubenLara 4 жыл бұрын
Definitely. In fact I have set up a version of that on my iPad. You can set a command bar button to display the layers pallette as a popop and it will behave like ProCreate's hideaway layers. Then just strip away all pallettes you don't often use. You can set your brush list to be a popup as well.
