Congradulations Ryan! Im hoping the new transision goes a bit better! Also, be careful switching the water if you give gatsby tap water because switching his water could potentially be a reason he's not feeling well. I wish you good luck with the big move!

I have two male corgis, Henry and George. Henry stresses, George takes everything in stride. Gatsby’s face so reminds me of Henry. If I feed him something different, if I take a turn in the car where he doesn’t know the route I am on, he gets... the worried face. I now have a pretty good idea of what I will be facing when we move. I’m so glad Gatsby is feeling better and more positive. It’s amazing the healing powers of the InstantPot and chicken and rice 😆 Life changes are stressful. Best wishes to you and Gatsby in your new home!

I have moved many times and have two corgi/Pomeranian crosses. One is just fine. He is a rescue and as long as he is with me, he is fine. The other one panics as soon as he sees boxes. The big move from Los Angeles to Cape Cod upset him so much that I had to rest him for a day twice on the trip (panting and shaking.) We used to visit the Cape frequently when we lived in Michigan so when we crossed the big bridge he was excited and happy, especially when he met my granddog at her home. Yeah! If I move across town now I take them to the new place several times as I move and then move their crates and them there when about half of the stuff is in the new place.

This makes me worried for when I move eventually...I have two cats-and cats are even more creatures of habit than dogs. Or people. But the best you can do is provide as much comfort and routine for your furry friend as possible. I'm sorry Gatbsy isn't feeling too good Ryen. Hope he feels happy soon. Also wow wow wow what a LOVELY looking place! Can't wait to see the full tour soon!

I saw a video that said to leave cats alone in a room at the new house with something that smells familiar (like some laundry or a toy or something) and that would help them adjust. Don’t remember all the details; the video is on the Simon’s Cat channel. Hope things go well for you when you move!

We moved with three cats, twice and it was pretty easy. I don’t know if it was just our cats, but they adjusted within a few minutes. We had most of our stuff already moved over and all of their trees, toys and litter boxes set up. So, they were fine because mostly everything smelled the same as before. But, our cats also don’t mind change. They’re very curious and any time there’s a delivery, or we move the furniture slightly, they have to investigate.

She'll scream in the car like I'm tormenting her, and gets sick in the car too..... that's mostly what I'm worried about and why I keep sticking with my current place. I don't mind it but do wish I had more space for my fur babies. Maaaaybe next year lol

We moved with cats and dogs. Putting furniture, cat beds etc. in the new place so it smells a bit familiar helps. If you can, pack and unpack over several weeks so the change gets spread out...and so you are not so busy to have enough time each day to give them extra petting and comfort. If you are so busy, the pets get ignored with lots of change going on, the lack of attention from you increases the stress for them..

Hope Gatsby feels better about the new place soon! I remember when my family and I moved our cat was very very stressed for a bit and wouldn't move at all and just stayed on the stairs. However, we made sure to move in all of his stuff right away and tried to make the place smell like him (that helps a lot!) and he was happy with the place and acting normal after about a week. All it took was a few sleepless nights (lots of stressed meowing) and enduring some sad kitty face. However, it was all worth it because he's so happy now and loves having more space to play. :)

We lost our amazing Corgi boy, Max, suddenly and unexpectedly in December and I have been unable to watch Gadsby until now. So happy to see your new home and hopefully you all are all settled by now.

Congrats on the new place :) When I was moving my dog threw up, too. Several times in the old place and then the new place, too. After he got used to it then he's all good. Look forward to many new content at the new place!

Hey Ryan! I took a break from watching the vlogs for a while but now I’m back and you and gatsby look like you’re doing so great! Missed you guys! Also, gatsby’s face always looks like it has a permanent semi-lost expression on it and it reminds me of my cat and her ??????? Face haha. Poor gatsby though, I hope he’s feeling a lot better. He makes my day so much better and he deserves all the love in he world. Best of luck with moving and the new house x

LOL. I have moved MANY times in my life and never have I made such a mess while moving in. lol too funny. With that said, Gatsby is such and adorable dog and it is clear to see how much you love him. PS great new home!
