My Corgis do this too! They love to shut the bathroom door and lean against it. Why?? There is a whole house of sleeping possibilities! The bathroom door has french handles,so my daughter tied a rope to it and taught her Corgi to pull down on the rope to open the door.

@@emsa5034 Its a common thing at my vet. For some reason i got always the shifts with the most euthanized pets... but its part of life. Euthanizing might not be the best part of our job but it helps our little companions a lot.

@@Wumbee. a dog is not an inanimate object, if you slightly move the door the dog will move to make way. Happened to me all the time.

Had a dog growing up that did exactly this. He loved the cool floor and dark room to rest in, but the dummy would lock himself in there for hours before we would realise he's missing, and he didn't even make a sound to let us know he was trapped 😂

Bathroom doors usually have knob locks, so if they have it in lock and the dog closes the door from inside they're locked out.

@@ZER0O9 Yeah that's the part Im not getting, if you leave a knob lock on in your house then you are just a knob yourself. Obviously you're going to end up locked out of some room when the door closes if you leave locks on for no reason
