Just FYI. To get the cost of your bars, you can add in your labor. But for actual cogs on your taxes you can only add labor if you pay someone to make your soaps. I’m so glad you started on crafty base.

Thank you for the very informative video, you are such a great resource. One question, once you know the price per bar (or BB), how and where do you account for shrinkwrap and labels per item? My cat purrs so loud that if he’s sitting near me when I’m on the phone the person on the phone asks if I have a bird! 😂 so cool you got to colab with fizz fairy! Please keep doing more crafty base videos. I’m so intrigued by it!

My girl cat Oakley went out last year October 27th like every morning . That day she never made back home. Now we hardly ever let our snowball cat go out. We go outside with him. Live your videos. I have star bat bombs and they are lovely 🥰

Your cat is adorable, I would keep her inside too or you can walk her with a cat leash and there are also cat patios which are a safe way for them to be outside 🥰 she’s very talkative. And I love your basset hound, I had one just like him growing up ❤️

Hi, I saw 3 errors in your ingredient prices: for your titanium dioxide and your mica, you put 0.0005 g each, but I think it should be 5 g each instead (not kg, g), and there is no price for your fragrance, which should cost about 12$ in this case. Hope this helps! By the way, you guys are awesome!

My daughter is interested in making soaps. My issue is cost and where to get the supplies. I absolutely love your videos and was wondering if you could show suppliers for the oils. She’s only 11 so it’s not going to be a full on business but instead of presents I want to help her in this endeavor.

My spreadsheet is from my old way calculating cogs, which you can do for any product on excel. For craftybase, you can do this same process for any of your handmade items.

I spent a mortgage payment on one of our cats, after he broke his leg, and for the next year, he was never allowed outside. Then he learned he could run around slapping his furry brothers and sisters, start fights, and do the cat move of knocking things off counters to make us mad. Now we let him out for short stints and he comes back when he's supposed to and he hasn't gotten hurt in over 2 years 😊. They usually learn from their mistakes lol.

How do you add in all your equipment cost into the cost of the pricing. Like say you use Stick blender 3 bowls Mold What are you doing to break the cost of that down to that one loaf to add that cost into the pricing ? Thats where iam confused as far as pricing goes

Labor, packaging and overhead add quite a bit to the cost per item.

Absolutely! All costs should be factored in. We’re still trying to figure that out now, but the idea is to give yourself enough cushion in the beginning to account for everything you haven’t thought of.

I’m so sorry about forgetting about the push stick last time! I suggest gently holding the top of the bath bomb mold down when you push down on the stick. I’ve had the top piece go flying out when I push down too hard. Whoops. Also, HOW ARE YOU SO ORGANIZED. I’m a hot mess over here 🤣 Thank you so much for showcasing our items and I hope you love them!
