Now to leave a proper comment. Up front, I'll say this is definitely a great watch. I absolutely agree with you on the fact that this film flows very well for a comedy and really manages to keep the mystery itself engaging. There's not a single weak element as far as the characters, eveyone plays their part perfectly without a wasted moment. Every running joke has their payoff by the end. What's also a nice touch is that there's no real "villain", other than some of the jury's perception, Judge Chamberlain Haller and Trotter are merely doing their part to uphold the law. There's no real hate for them, especially by the end. The almost 1 in 1,000,000 chance of what happened doesn't feel convoluted but rather exciting once Marisa Tomei delivers her monologue, particularly captivating for a film like this. That's how a strong female should be written. These are the reasons why it's perhaps my favorite comedy. Never gets old. I'm very pleased you enjoyed it!

I heard a great explanation once about strong characters. It’s not about being physically strong or serious or perfect at everything, it’s about how they affect the plot. This movie doesn’t work without Lisa. And you’re right, no actual villain! Everyone was just doing their jobs, thinking they were right and wanting to bring justice.

Lisa was great in this film no doubt about it. The importance of her actions and input was the undeniable. But it was Vinny that that found the smoking gun in Lisa's picture. From that point on everything Lisa said Vinny already knew she was going to say. He just needed Lisa to state it because he could not put himself on the stand.

"It is possible that the two yutes..." "...Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?" "Uh... what word?" "Two what?" "What?" "Uh... did you say yutes?" "Yeah, two yutes." "What is a yute?" "Oh, excuse me, your honor... Two YOUTHS." I love this movie. There's no real bad guy in this movie (except if you consider the real murderers) and once the innocence of Bill and Stan becomes clear, all charges are dropped. Fun Fact: The misunderstanding between Vincent Gambini and Judge Haller (Fred Gwynne) regarding the two "youts" was in fact a real conversation between Joe Pesci and director Jonathan Lynn. Lynn, who is British, at first had a hard time understanding Pesci's pronounced New York accent. He decided that the routine was quite funny and put it in the film. Wise Owl Fact: According to director Jonathan Lynn, the eastern screech owl in the scene in the woods was a real owl that had a little prior training so it wouldn't be scared away by the gunfire. The crew got it to open its mouth by giving it little pieces of beef, and artificially induced screeches were added to the film in post production. The owl's reaction to Vinny (Joe Pesci) shooting the gun was authentic and needed only one take. Law Enthusiast Fact: Director Jonathan Lynn actually has a law degree and insisted the film's legal proceedings be realistic. In fact, many attorneys and law professors have praised the film for its accurate depiction of trial strategy and courtroom procedure, especially with regards to presenting expert witnesses at trial. In fact, the film has been screened at some law schools to illustrate courtroom procedures. The American Bar Association's publication, the ABA Journal, ranked the film #3 on its list of the 25 Greatest Legal Movies.

When this movie was released, the idea of "discovery" was still new in the general public's mind. I remember watching this and being blown away by this concept, and at the same time, immediately thinking "well, of course." If you read any of the original Perry Mason stories c.1932-1970, written by seasoned lawyer Erle Stanley Gardner, much of the drama of the courtroom scenes was how the prosecution (and sometimes Mason) kept some vital information hidden. It might be to screw up the case for the other side, or spring it on them and see their reaction.

If you like this type of courtroom movie with lots of twists, I could not recommend more the 1957 Witness for the Prosecution, written by mystery-queen-of-all-time Agatha Christie. This is available at the moment on youtube, for free. She wrote the original story as part of a number of her short stories. Then she made it into a highly successful play. This movie was from a script by Billy Wilder, from the play. His script was used for a made-for-tv version,, same title, okay but the lead was just not as strong, having to fake a German accent. There is also a more recent version, taken for the original story - I find it ghastly.

The 'two yutes' scene came about because he and Pesci had a similiar misunderstanding during one of their conversations. 3. The defense’s theory up to that point was that there was an identical Buick Skylark with two other youts. That theory was wrong based on her observations, in fact the other youts were driving a Pontiac Tempest with the same paint color 😊

"Dont talk to the cops" is dangerous advice to take as a universal truth. It cant just as easily get you into to trouble depending on the situation. In this particular case they would probably be better off talking if they hadnt been complete idiots- There are two of them and they didnt actually do anything wrong. As long as they kept telling the truth it would most likely end up having them freed. Two guys in two rooms having identical stories with no flaws is virtually impossibl. No made up sotry is perfect, eventually there will be a question they havnt thought of and the can answer the same. If you speak th truth, there is no such quastion, they were both there, they know what happened and nomatter what they as them, theyr stories wil match. Also keeping quite makes most people think your hiding something, actually poisoning the well against you. Cops are suppoesd to ignore this but its a biological instinct to mistrust someone not cooperating. Even if they make a consious decision to disregard this, subconsciously it will almost always lower your credibility in their eyes.. Im not sayingyou should or shouldnt talk to cops, thats up to you and very situational. But considering that your justice system is a fakking joke, sticing to the truth is probably your best option. And all he lawyers giving this adviec, of fakking course theyy would say this, they dont ever want someone talking without a lawyer... Lawyers charge by the hours and generally they charge ALOT, every minute you talk without them in the room is alot of dollars that could've landed in their pocket. I know people in ameica who has gone to jail cuz they *didnt* cooperate. Bad luck combind with perhaps not the brightest legal counsil fakked them over. In retrospect, they would never have been arrested if they had just told the cops what really happened. If youre charged with assault and you tell them "I didnt do it", that can be used against you in the court of law... But if you actually didnt, how the hell could that possibly hurt you? All it does is determine that you have denied the charges from the start and been consistent in your plea. Let it be on the rcord that you claimed your innocense from the very beginning. In a worst case scenario it makes no difference. In a best case scenario, it shows that youre resolute and unwaering.

Really have to continue to disagree, after seeing the justice system in action as well as knowing several police officers who would advise anyone the same way. A statement you think is unimportant or even misremembering a date can easily become evidence against you. Don’t make their job easier 😂

If you like Joe Pesci, you will love him and the Goodfellas is one of the life stories of Henry Hill JR. He is perfect in that or you can do split personality one of the tells her the crypt episodes just killed that one but I’m not gonna say or anything about that, but I do wanna say that he wasn’t in both of them And I kind of spoiled it a little bit but here’s the thing about my cousin Vinny that movie was more about I’m a mistake oh identity and if they go with the stands Ornie, he would proven that case, and they’ll be found guilty of something that they are never guilty of. Do they have the weapon on them the murder weapon on them know because they’re innocent, and Joe Pesci knows it, and he knew what he was doing as Vincent Gambini, his legal name was Jerry Callow, not Gallo. He screwed up his name wrong order to help out with that area and Mr. Trotta is stupid because he is talking to the jury as of three are sultans stands attorney was asking all the wrong questions of Bill found guilty no matter what , so Jerry Callow, or Vincent Gambini had to take the case to about his cousin and if Stan just put his trust in Drake Calo, also known as Vincent Gambini, he would’ve been found innocent. Anyways Mr. Trotta did not had a case because he was dumb enough to put them through a trial when he had nothing no evidence, but false witness people that was not having their stories line up then the case will be thrown out as a lie, it’s also in our constitutional rights and also with the trials and also with the 10 Commandments like this Thou shall not bear false witness Because you cannot bear false witness, a court we do that in between perjury or line and cord, you can go to jail for some years I was about the age limit, for that will be actually be 10 years or less one woman went to jail for a lie about Michael Jackson For False accusations and charges that she had was no more but wise and false shouldn’t jail for 15 years for it and now she’s out now and now she has no contact with the Jackson’s family but I do have a movie for you to do just just have not just Joe Pesci in the movie it does have Fred Gwen in it I don’t know if you take request if you do but you might want to do this as for movie watch request from me and show the film footage so I’ll just give it commentary all through but I don’t mind it. I am just saying that I have a movie for you to do and it does have Fred Glenn , also known as Herman monster in this movie that I would like to give you and it’s sequel in the name of it is The pet cemetery Feel free to give us some love and start showing the movie and I just fast clips there’s someone that I know that goes by the name of Ashley Burton. I got her to start showing the movie footage and not just buy fast clips on them. That’s how a first time watch Really works but Fred Glenn is in the very first pet cemetery but not Joe Pesci if you want one with Joe Pesci, then you might want to play a movie known as The Goodfellas He has a supporting role known as Tommy Dimone. I am sure that you will like that one and hopefully you can do the movie the Goodfellas or you can do pet Sematary. Those is your choices here and they are listed in the right order for you unless if you want to do first time movie, watch of them. The Goodfellas Pet cemetery Hopefully you take my advice and show the movie not just by fast clips. If you can do that then you can go and you can react to more scenes that you can do and yes, it is just my advice to you and hopefully that you will so basically this is just me giving you some help and advice about it and also do my two cents on this movie. Hopefully you can do that not just for me but for yourself and the viewers and your friends and subscribers, do not put your trust and your picture on your viewers and your friends and subscribers includes me too. If you can do that you will go places you can get more movies and you can get more people gonna give you ideas for videos for future first time movie watch for the ones that I have given you is Good followers Pet cemetery And hopefully that you would do the right thing and listen to my help and my advice so you can improve your channel further. That’s all for now in the port is dismissed.

I appreciate your thoughts. I’ve been doing this for almost two years and keeping the clips to 4 seconds or less is what keeps me from getting copyright claims. Obscuring the footage with my overlay and/or blurring is what allows me to show more than 4 seconds, and even that doesn’t always work. I’m familiar with Ashleigh and she does the same editing tricks that I do, so I’m not sure how that relates. My job isn’t to provide a free way to see a movie. That would be illegal, unethical, and boring. I have a responsibility to transform the content with my commentary. The point of reaction videos is to see the reactor, not the film. They should not be able to be used as a substitute for watching the movie through legal avenues. If you are looking for long, uninterrupted pieces of copyrighted films, you won’t find that on my channel. You will see more of me than the movie, that is by design, and it’s rather insulting to be spoken to like I’m an idiot who doesn’t realize what I’m doing. I appreciate your comments regarding the film and your suggestions. Have a fantastic day.
