@@deepspacematt3333 With so many items to sort etc here is my suggestion, Grind some resources to build a bunch more storages ideally you want 1 or more overflow box for your crafting bench 1 Box specifically for mission related item collection (you may want more but I've found that 1 tends to be enough to cover the usual flood of missions each time you get to a new planet) you'll want to get more advanced furnaces going try to aim 2 for ore (or extra Sand into glass 1 for scrap metal and 1 for stone/ Sand (or can be a backup to smelt ore or Scrap metal) 1 to start storing up feed and collect items dropped from Xenos (even after building a feed repository which holds 250 feed but once you get more than 4 Xeno you might look into a separate storage for Xeno items) Xeno pods hold 4 Xeno at a time and once you get a feed repository you can upgrade them to auto-feed for 1,000 credits (don't forget to use the settings screen on the Feed Repository to set the number of Xenos to dispense feed for) (Feed Reposity is 8X Stone Composite and 45x Aiuminum ore) For now I suggest holding onto items dropped by your puff puff Xenos as the Fibre spinner (40x Scrap metal, 5x Copper block, 4x Silver block) will make it more valuable to sell (50 credits vs 25 credits). Everything is going to get more expensive so getting auto farming going is a must, Garden Bots (6x Scrap metal blocks, 10x Copper ore, 1x battery (140

The Recycler is very useful and you may want to set up a few as each process seems to take about 10Hrs. Recycler only accepts 1 input item so ratio is 1 to X (i.e 1xLichen= 3x Aluminum ore) (i'll have updates to this list as you progress to help avoid spoilers) Slime mold gives 2x Aluminum ore.
