@@riveramobiledetailing5144I’m trying to get into the detailing business and just had my first client. My manager needed his girls car detailed for Mother’s Day. Had dog hair and they have a car seat. Took me 5 hours because I’m still getting my process down. But I steam cleaned pretty much everything in the car, got some stains out of the seats, got MOST of the pet hair out. I’ll do better next time but I charged him $150 and he gave me $180 for a tip.

Those $65-$75 quick washes either turn into a full on mini detail or you give them what they're actually paying for which is a half assed wipedown. Thats why i don't do them.

You need to drink Coffee bro.... and maybe a few espressos to get your energy levels up..... And be braver with your prices or charge an hourly rate... You should be earning at least 400- 500 $ a day as a start if you are car washing in the USA full time.. 2 hours on a car for 30 $ either means you are too slow ? Your equipment is not efficient ? the customers car is heavily soiled inside and out ? or you are too timid... You should price your cars on firstly the amount of soiling ( regular ) and anything that is too heavily soiled simply say to the customer " Wow that is extremely dirty it will cost so and so much ! " personally i would say NO to cars where the customer has neglected them and they are extremely dirty on the inside because they will be back again in 5 years time with the same mess !!! save that energy to clean a REGULAR CAR in a 1/6 of the time.. Only clean heavily soiled anything for a BIG price...It is your energy and your soul which is your most valuable asset ! Dont wreck your energy and soul killing yourself for someone who does not care about you.. HEy i am not being funny here but i would have offered the customer other services like pressure washing and window cleaning , gutter cleaning amongst other things as well while i am there. I guarantee you will earn more a be home sooner !

Someone I used to be friends with back in high school let me detail his car. I remember his car being garage kept and still extremely dirty because it didnt get washed for 6 months or so. I cleaned his interior and washed it. He didn't pay me a cent. He told me the car wash did it for $10 and didn't value my work.

Maguires hyper dressing is $35 a gallon on Amazon. I don’t know where you’re buying yours from but it sounds like you’re paying too much it also sounds like your detailing prices are too cheap especially for the type of work you do looking at this video and watching you work, it looks like you do really nice work. You should charge more you’re worth it.

I personally wouldn’t bash on people and call them “cheap” for not wanting to pay for a detailer. Some people just don’t care for their vehicles as much as others and rather go the cheaper route. I’ve learned to not take it personal when people claim I charge too much because that’s just an opinion, there’s always going to be the people that agree with the prices. Also, I would recommend to lay off the “expensive” products. High prices don’t always mean better quality. I’ve been rocking with P&S for years and I’ve never had a customer complain about my products. Btw, I’m not saying you’re doing anything wrong, I’m just throwing my opinion out there.

Man you have to raise your prices or you're wasting your time and your business is going to tank. My advise is to double your price snd weed out low budget customers. You have to target a market that is willing to pay your worth. The key is marketing. Invest in a good website and post on social media. In order to afford Reyes the Entrepreneur you're definitely going to have to raise your prices lol

Too many new derailers are guving away their work, chargin way too low, its killing the businesses and the detaers that have been doing it for years, I've been detailing for over 23 yrs now, i started chargung $12 and $15 when I started, I now charge $65 for cars and $75 & up for larger vehicles, so i basically charge $70 an hour fo most of my services. I hope youre successful and stick with it, but necer comprise yourself and your experience.
