If you’re telling yourself, “My custody judge hates me!” Don’t worry. This video is all about how to deal with a difficult custody judge. Your child custody court case is probably the most important thing happening in your life right now, and I have custody battle advice (wisdom gained from experience) for you in this video about handling yourself in front of a judge who doesn’t like you. Dealing with a difficult judge during your already stressful custody battle can raise your blood pressure 10 notches. Even if your judge hates you, you still need to move forward toward your child custody goals and fight the best child custody battle you can. The best judges - even those handling difficult child custody cases - are those who treat everyone with respect. However, the reality in child custody court is that people sometimes get beaten up by calloused and impatient judges. In this video, I give you child custody tips and help navigate you away from making major child custody mistakes in front of a difficult judge. During your child custody hearing, treat your judge with respect. Whether you’re interested in child custody for fathers or for mothers, the issue of how to get custody of a child is always the same, and the focus should be on the best interests of your children - always. One of the best pieces of wisdom I can share on how to get child custody is to try your best to show the judge you are prepared. This video is a child custody guide on presenting your best self to your judge whether you want to know how to get child custody as a father or as a mother. The first step in getting child custody help is learning about the child custody trial process and the person in charge - the judge. If you want to know how to get custody as a father or as a mother, do your research about the laws in your state, study, get prepared and gather as much information as you can - especially about your judge!

Mine hated me because he was my father’s lawyer when my parents divorced. I know it sounds odd, but from what I can recall my grandfather worked for the courts and made some questionable things happen through the courts. This judge would scream at me in court and belittled me for bringing evidence of abuse from the mother. I had to tell him in court that if I didn’t get custody that I would be taking the evidence to the news and let the court of public opinion and his superiors make the call… he went to my ex wife’s parents church and I believe they paid him on the side as well. The justice system is completely broken and needs accountability before I consider trusting them again.

Discretion is way too much power. If a judge doesn't like you, this creates bias. You can't prove bias, you only can appeal if they are clearly erroneous by the objective standards of review. Judges can make one sided, heavily biased decisions based only upon your personality, refusing to weigh facts in a neutral manner, and there's no recourse for this whatsoever. When I had my trial, the judge only agreed with me when I had a rock solid argument based in law, seemed to be very reluctant to let me be right even when I was clearly right, and even reversed one of these decisions when the other side, an aggressive and nasty mean spirited highly dishonest lawyer, wrote a long and ridiculous motion in opposition to reverse the order. People not letting me be right is something that plagues me all through life, and this extends right into the important matters before the court. Being stuck with the same judge, even if I win on appeal, is unbelievably unjust. It's terrible.

Family Court needs a panal of judges or a jury. So there's not just 1 funky judge with an attitude shaming pro se litigants and being biased.

I usually agree but they should ask for a substitution with cause it's no way they should gamble with a judge who they really believe is bias, and the judicial code of Cannon say a judge can be switched even if it appears they might be bias, to save the integrity of the legal system and keep citizens faith in the justice system

Family law judges should be required to declare it when they are feminists or social justice warriors.

Goes both ways believe me I am a good mother and the judge here in az is biased and just wears that black robe to get paid. The attorneys all they care about is money I have spent so much in 7 months. They are all the same the family court system is crooked. They don't read anything. Doesn't matter if you have your life together they will pick the abuser and let them get there way. I have documents of my whole life going on five years. They don't care about our children.
