Taking a quick look at the storage drawers I built for the back of my 2016 Toyota 4Runner.
This is built out of 1/2” plywood, with two drawers each on 100 lb drawer slides. On top of the storage unit are two Milwaukee PACKOUT mounting plates which are bolted down with 1/4” bolts going through the plywood to T-nuts.
HOW I MOUNTED THE DRAWER STORAGE UNIT:
I removed the plastic trim piece behind the second row seating which is where the factory D-ring anchor points bolted to the body of the vehicle. Once that trim piece is removed, I used fender washers and bolts to attach the drawer unit to the vehicle. I have had this installed in the vehicle for over a year with no issues!
If you have any questions, drop me a comment, I’d be glad to help you out with your own build!
