Melissa thank you for sharing your dad with us, I mean this sincerely. My dad left this earth 5 years ago, I miss him so much it aches and listening to your pops tell his stories and share his knowledge it just warms my heart and reminds me of things my dad tried to teach me throughout my life. Dads always tell the longest stories but they give solid advice. I would give anything on this planet to hear my dad tell me one of his stories even if I heard a million times before. Trust me, one day when he is no longer here you will be able to treasure these moments, videos and memories for the rest of your life. These are priceless. I love diamond painting. I probably have 20 or more to do and I have finished that many. I liked the idea of spraying that stuff on the finished painting. I bought diamond painting sealer where you use the sponge to put it on, but that knocked a lot of the diamonds off and made me cuss 😅.

Thanks so much to Dad for all the information. I learned a lot. I super appreciated you explaining about the diamond art. I have some but have not yet attended to do any. All the info and knowing there is a way to do it without killing my neck and being able to see the picture makes me want to do them now. You aliviated my concerns. Thanks, Mike! ❤️ I also enjoyed knowing how to really clean my car, although I am in the Melissa mind set and don't clean my car forever, but when I do at least I know the best way to do it! Lol

Dad did just fine on his own. 👍 I will say with all respect that I think he over complicates diamond painting a bit. I'm 50 and didn't think I would like it either, but it really is a satisfying and relaxing activity. I lay in bed and do it. I spread it out on a little lap tray, pour some diamonds into the little green tray from the original packaging, and I commit to doing all of those. If I want to do more I pour out more if not I put some tape over the original pack that the diamonds come in, I never pour all of them out of the original pack just use tape to seal it. When I'm finished, I just roll up the diamond painting, put all of the other stuff that comes with it in a small plastic container, then all of that goes into one of the dollar tree square cloth/cardboard containers that can fold down flat... I have one of those on a shelf close to my bed that I put the diamond stuff in. So, I sit propped up in bed on pillows will usually only do it about an hour or so while listening to a podcast, then I put it away slide under the covers and go to bed. Sorry I wrote so much, I guess I just want people to know it really doesn't have to be that hard and you don't need to build anything. I do wear readers to help me see the small print on the canvas. I have actually spilled the diamonds in bed before, but because I'm lying in bed they don't go very far and since I only pour a few out at a time, it's not that hard to pick them up and put them back in the little tray. Anyway, if anyone actually read this, Good luck on your diamond painting quest. Don't hesitate to give it a try if you're interested in it and simply find a way that is fun and comfortable for you. 💕

I’m extremely grateful for your dad, Melissa! I was always wondering about Diamond painting, I am a crafter, I draw, I paint and color, I was ALWAYS WONDERING ABOUT DIAMOND PAINTING! As a longtime beader I've used glue sticks that I run through a pencil sharpener instead of using a wax pen to pick up my beads, sequins, gems and in this case the diamond dots. I like it because you don't have to reload the wax as much. You also mentioned Harbor Freight...one of my favorite stores! They have a 25 Box Storage System that is awesome for holding the diamond dots! With their coupon it's around $5.

I loved all the car cleaning tips. Will definitely be usuing them when I get a "new" vehicle, since my truck was totaled Saturday. Hey, just to say they have special paper for diamond art kits so you don’t have to keep pulling up the plastic. ( I haven’t tried it myself but I have heard it’s very easy to use) They come in little sheets so once you place them done you can do a little section at a time and not worry about the print drying out ☺️ Hope that helps, great video and loved the tips my neck always gets sore when I am doing a kit and I hadn’t yet found a solution.

Oh my goodness .. my father taught me everything and was my guiding light my whole life. I miss him so much. Anyway, your father reminded me of him regarding a clean car 😅 I can proudly say I can clean the interior and exterior of a car better than most professionals. Really thank you my dad (he passed 10 yrs ago) use to clean his vehicle all the time and used armor all he told me the same thing as you and how important it is to clean your vehicle!now I've just stared the video and I bet you have more good advice that I need someone to tell me cuz that person is not here to tell me anymore and I've been slacking so thank you again!

Hi Cheap Chick Dad, I really enjoyed this video and have just finished my first diamond painting (a pencil case with a pattern on the front) and really related to the posture problem and neck pain. I love the idea of your setup as looking into getting the stands and light-up frames is very expensive. Thanks for these ideas. Love them.
