In Srilanka, we dont eat raw dry fish. We cook and eat. It is not a snack 😊 In malaysia also you can find fried dry fish in naasi lemak

Those are NOT typical Sri Lankan snacks but just Sri Lankan junk food. Sri Lankans NEVER eat dry fish off a packet because only Maldive fish ( made in Salso) can be eaten as is. Dried fish has a foul odour, is very salty and has to be washed thoroughly to remove extra salt and sometimes even scales, dirt and sand . It has to be cooked in coconut milk with onions, tomatoes and spices as a curry or deep fried to be eaten. So dry fish packs you bought are not snacks but are meant for cooking

Okay both fish products are not snacks...😂😂 You have to cook them... preferably deep fry or pan fry with chopped onions and tomatoes and curry leaves 😂😂we never eat raw dried salted fish, always cook it. And the first one is anchovies. Denis's dad got it right❤ he said its anchovies. Wise man..😊 Murukku and Jumbo peanuts are good with a cold mug of beer🍺 😅 NOTE: NEVER EAT THEM FISH RAW 😊 Tipi tip is a sensational snack I can say almost all of the adult population loved is at some point in their childhood. I did.. specially the cheese balls ❤

Hey fresh dry fish should be cooked and then it is ready to eat.. Put some oil in to pan and heat eat the oiled pan and put dry fish in to that pan and fry in low heat for 2 minutes. then it is ready to eat.

U got mistaken with dry anchovies and dry fish pieces pack!!! it should wash property to remove extra salt with hot water and can eat fried or curry- mixed with garlic ,onion, little ginger and put lime juice in the end .

small dried fish is Sprats {Sprat is the common name applied to a group of forage fish belonging to the genus Sprattus in the family Clupeidae} those dried fish should cook before eating and they are not snaks in Sri Lanka . dip in a warm water for few hours then you can rip the salt out. but in Japan they have as it is and they are not salty like what we have in Sri LANKA

You don't need to worry. Small fish is a snack, but there are no readymade snakes. In Sri Lanka, we don't eat raw dried fish because Sri Lankans are not used to it, but it's possible to eat raw fish. When you eat, it's better to soak it in the water to rinse the extra salt, wash it, and dry it. My cousin used to bring small fish(the same small fish you gave to your father) to his grandmother in Russia. But when they dry fish, they use lots of salt to preserve it for a while; when we prepare them for my cousin's grandmother, we wash them, remove excess salt, remove the head and organs, and dry them again. Then it will be perfect.

Oh my God! 😮I couldn’t imagine you ate disgusting raw fish as a snack. Just now I was watching it I screamed “ please don’t eat… please don’t eat”. It isn’t meant to be eaten raw. You have to wash it properly few times and deep fry a bit then add onion, green chilies, tomatoes, curry leaves , dry red chilli flakes make a delicious dish which you can eat with rice , you can add lentil curry or coconut sambol.
